East Texas is a hot spot for a cool treat. The National Dairy Festival takes place each year in Sulphur Springs to the delight of its residents and dairy lovers everywhere. It’s the site of the Texas State Championship Ice Cream Freeze-Off. We see how contestants create their favorite homemade ice cream recipes for the event. And we learn how to make ice cream in a coffee can. The Dairy Festival Queen contestants face off in, among other things, an old-fashioned Cow Milking Contest.
