Traci Des Jardins
Chef Traci Des Jardins is co-owner and executive chef of Jardinière and Acme Chop House in San Francisco. An active member of Taste of the Nation, she has served as the event's host in San Francisco at the Acme Chop House. Applauded as one of the nation's most acclaimed and respected chefs, Des Jardins has been honored with numerous awards. She was a James Beard Foundation "Rising Star Chef of the Year," one of Food & Wine's "Best New Chefs," San Francisco magazine's "Chef of the Year," and was listed as one of the top three chefs in the Bay Area by the San Francisco Chronicle each year since opening. In 2007, she appeared on Food Network's Next Iron Chef and was awarded "Best Pacific Chef" by the James Beard Foundation.
Meadowood Executive Banquet Chef Alejandro Ayala oversees cuisine for executive retreats and special events at Meadowood as well as events catered in other local settings.
Chef Ayala arrived in the United States from Mexico at the age of 18 and began his career at Meadowood as a dishwasher, then as a prep cook, working his way up through the kitchen and reaching the position of Executive Banquet Chef for the past 10 years. In 2006, he served as Host Chef for the Napa Valley Mustard Festival.
Meadowood has embraced Chef Ayala just as he has embraced a passion for cooking. Highlights of Chef Ayala's 22-year career include making events large and small, including Auction Napa Valley memorable for all who attend.
