McDonald’s Rainbow-Sprinkled, Custard-Filled Holiday Pies Are Back

And Twitter is feeling the love.

Vanilla custard with rainbow sprinkles may scream “summer” to some of us, but to McDonald’s it’s all about the winter holidays.

McDonald’s has brought back its Holiday Pies, which it describes as follows: “Creamy smooth, vanilla custard nestled in a flaky, buttery crust glazed with sugar and topped with rainbow sprinkles.”

A few days after Thanksgiving, the fast-food chain confirmed the popular pies’ return on Twitter, writing to fans of its now traditional holiday dessert, “Y’know how they say the holidays get earlier every year? Well, ’tis the season…for the Holiday Pie! Enjoy!”

McDonald’s subsequently noted that availability, which is up to the owners and operators of individual locations, may be patchy. “We recommend letting your local restaurant know that you'd love to see them back on the menu!” the company further advised.

Certainly fans of the pies don’t seem to be shrinking violets on social media.

“nothing is better than a holiday pie from mcdonald’s,” opined one person on Twitter.

“Soo...I just tried the Holiday Pie from @McDonalds for the first time.....LIFE ALTERING!” wrote another.

And then there’s the guy who sighed: “I want someone to look at me the way I look at Holiday Pie From @McDonalds

Now if that’s not love ...
