Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients
1 russet potato
1 tablespoon butter
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
In a medium sized pot, cover the potato with cold water. Bring to a boil
and cook until tender, about 40 minutes. Drain the potato, remove the skin and mash well in a large
bowl. Add the butter, salt and pepper, to taste, and the garlic powder. Mix well until desired
consistency is reached.
