For over 3,000 years, indigenous people of Mexico have been celebrating El Dia de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead. This Aztec ritual lasts a full month, starting on the first of November. Day of the Dead is a day to honor, remember, and celebrate the lives of the deceased. Surprisingly, it is far from morbid -- families decorate and feast on skulls made of tightly packed sugar, have large picnics at grave sites, and even play music. Whether you are honoring those in your life who have passed on, or just want to celebrate your Halloween south-of-the-border style, our recipes will make your taste buds rise from the dead!
