Bio: Jacqui Malouf
Food from down South. A host from up North. Sounds like a good joke and a tasty TV show. Who better to co-host it than a comedienne? From Food Network's Hot off the Grill with Bobby Flay comes a voice from colder climes. It's Canadian comedic actress Jacqui Malouf, who brings some Northern exposure and laughs to Bobby Flay's southwestern cuisine. An Ontario native, Jacqui has lived all over the world, cultivating her affinity for good food in such places as Brazil, Europe and the Caribbean. Jacqui ascended the comic ladder doing stand-up at renowned clubs, such as Caroline's and Stand-Up NY. She also worked at some of New York's best restaurants, such as Nadine's and Blue Ribbon, where she learned her way around the kitchen. Don't be surprised if Jacqui looks familiar. When she's not helping Bobby grill up south-of-the-border treats on Food Network, Jacqui's hosting ESPN's Parent's Choice Winner Sports Figures for children. She also has appeared in more than 30 commercials in Canada and the U.S. Jacqui is an active member of the New York downtown theater scene as an actor, director and producer for Off-Broadway and Off-Off-Broadway shows. She's working on a cookbook at the moment and appears in two independent films due out next year. Jacqui's production company, TraLaLu Productions, is currently developing theater and television projects.
