good & can be easy 12/26/2007 at 04:31pm User: beth from san marcos, CA User Rating: this was a good holiday dinner. i haven't cooked meat/fish in 12+ years and this was an easy recipe to do. not knowing how much crust to put on, i did too much - keep it thin! the soy butter made way too much, half the recipe but a great addition, do not take it out! Delicious 11/30/2007 at 09:12pm User: Tammy from Bakersfield, CA User Rating: Saved some time, bought grated ginger in the refridgerated section at the supermarket. Very good! My guests were delighted. The butter sauce made a lot. Might cut it in half next time. Excellent Recipe 11/11/2004 at 10:28am User: Anonymous User Rating: This was a great recipe, excellent mixture of spice with the searing of the salmon with the essence, and the sweet ginger and orange in the crust and sauce. Seared the salmon the full 2 mins a side, also cooked the salmon in the oven for longer than suggested to make the crust crispy. Try this recipe and you'll love it! Don't care for fish 09/17/2004 at 11:27pm User: Anonymous User Rating: This recipe was very good the ginger dulled the strong flavour of the fish and worked well with the sauce. Impressed guests 09/06/2005 at 03:52pm User: Anonymous User Rating: One of my favorite dishes to make. Had a hard to please guest over and now they want the recipe. Great 08/23/2007 at 06:18pm User: Caitlin from Puyallup, WA User Rating: Easy and delicious. Be sure to grate the ginger well to avoid lots of stringy bits. Awesome - the soy butter is... 07/17/2006 at 09:07pm User: michele from milan, MI User Rating: Perfect with grilled salmon or ahi tuna. Summer time, just grill salmon or tuna m.rare and place over a bed of chopped romaine lettuce. Use r.y. peppers and a cilantro aoli. For aoli, lemon, e.v.o.o. and cilantro food processor and use as a complementary sauce to the soy butter Gingerriffic! 07/11/2006 at 09:36pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Superb recipe. Yummy 06/15/2004 at 10:10pm User: ROBIN from Mill Creek, WA User Rating: This recipe is delicious, easy, and quick. My husband, who is finicky about fish even loves it and so does our 21 month old son. One you won't regret trying! 05/17/2007 at 10:51am User: Cnda from Rancho Viejo, TX User Rating: Another great one from Emeril! I didn't have enought ginger (it calls for 1 cup)for the fish & I decided to use 4 oz butter vs. the 8 oz in the Ginger Soy Butter Sauce -- Yet -- still it turned out great. I look forward to trying it w/the 1 cup of ginger ... I think it will improve it even more. simply fabulous sauce tops super salmon 02/06/2008 at 03:38pm User: JULIE from renton, WA User Rating: The sauce was just wonderful! My husband and I wanted to pour it all over everything. I used some wild caught sockeye and the ginger crust with that sauce made it just about the best salmon I've ever done. And that is saying a lot - I live in Washington and eat salmon all the time. Since there is just the two of us I cut the sauce recipe in quarters and we still had enough to put on our asparagus! I also cut the amount of topping I made too. Try this one you'll love it! Go Emeril Go! 01/30/2007 at 11:51pm User: CJ from Burbank, CA User Rating: Wow this tasted so great! It takes effort to make, but it is well worth it. Just keep the bread crumbs to a minimum and you'll be fine. Very Yummy! Excellent! 01/30/2005 at 12:28pm User: Anonymous User Rating: This dish is soooo good!! I've made it over and over and over again, whether it's for guests or just everyday cooking. The sauce is divine, it's what made this dish so delicious. You guys should all try it if you're looking for a new and different way of cooking salmon. good but not great 01/29/2006 at 11:08pm User: Jennifer from New Castle, CO User Rating: we thought it was tasty but we've had better salmon recipes. yum 01/11/2007 at 09:24pm User: Nicola from Gresham, OR User Rating: tasted great, easy to make and soy butter was delicious and added so much flavor. We like it spicy so we added more fresh ginger for extra kick Tastebud Celebration 01/06/2008 at 04:19pm User: C from Tampa, FL User Rating: The taste and flavor of the dish was great! There was nothing ho-hum about it. It was relevatively easy to prepare even though it took longer than the recipe stated. I don't normally cook with some of the ingredients listed but all were readily available at my regular grocery store. I used the pre-minced ginger, recommended in an earlier review, in the butter sauce and shredded my own ginger for the crust... I would recommend using the pre-minced ginger for both the next time. Also, I used Italian bread crumbs because I already had them instead of plain bread crumbs and it still worked great. |
