Pretty Good 05/11/2008 at 08:12pm User: Paulette from Rock Falls, IL User Rating: This was my first attempt at Fried Rice. While I was pleased, it wasn't until I read other reviews, after the fact, that I realized that what was missing was a vegetable. I will make it again, but will add peas, and probably green onions at the end of cooking. Over all, however, I thought the recipe good for my first attempt. not enough rice 04/02/2008 at 05:51pm User: Tanya from Corona, CA User Rating: The problem with this recipe is the rice to pork/egg ratio. There isn't enough rice. The other ingredients out weigh the dish. I make fried rice all the time and I would add at least 3cups of cooked rice. Good 03/15/2008 at 02:05pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Great way to prepare pork...quick and delicious. Quick and Good 02/26/2008 at 10:29pm User: Sheri from Antelope, CA User Rating: I am not that great at making Fried Rice but this receipe helped me out alot! The cilantro adds the hummmmm factor and it was very qucik and easy to make. Will not try again 02/20/2008 at 09:23am User: Anonymous User Rating: I agree with the other posters, there wasn't much substance to this dish. I have never had fried rice before without some kind of vegetable in it. Robin made a fried rice dish on one of her other shows that was much better than this. Pretty good 02/11/2008 at 09:51pm User: Anonymous User Rating: The basic recipe for this Pork Fried Rice is actually pretty good. I added 1/3 of a bag of frozen peas/carrot mixture while heating, as well as a dash of red pepper flakes. I also broke up the eggs into much smaller pieces so they were not an overwhelming flavor/texture in the dish. I also added sliced green onions at the end of frying. tasty 02/05/2008 at 06:24pm User: Dan from Moorestown, NJ User Rating: tasty, easy dish...used brown rice and added a small can of peas at the end What a joke 01/21/2008 at 06:37pm User: dat from san diego, CA User Rating: I watched this episode and by the way it progressed I didn't even make an attempt to make it. The way the ingredients and lack there of were put together the outcome couldn't have possibly have been fried rice. Just look at the picture. Not Twice on This Rice 01/18/2008 at 06:52pm User: D.L from Port Orange, FL User Rating: While I made & enjoyed the pork chops that this recipe started from, I can't say the same for the pork fried rice. I didn't stray too much from the recipe but I did decrease the fresh ginger a bit. It just wasn't a dish I would make again. |
