I really enjoy this cookie. I have made it at Christmas time for a few years. I could never figure out how you could get more than one 2" piece out of a 3" strip of dough because I visualized the strip being rolled up the from the short end. I just now figured out that it is rolled from the long end of the 3" strip. I'll bet my cookies will be supurb this year! Maybe, it's my dyslexia or could it be worded differently?

i give this a 3 because there was no almond paste in it. and i didn't like the ball shape. (made the cookie too "fluffy".) anyway i added almond paste and flattened the cookie more, and i brushed them with an egg white wash. this made them more crispy on top and gooey in the middle.
