I added a bit more lobster than what the recipe called for, otherwise this was spot on.




Use Shrimp

This is a very easy recipe. I substituted shrimp for the lobster because it is easier to find and it is wonderful. I used precooked salad shrimp and chopped them fine in the food processor. I carried some to a church food sale once and the next year they called to ask me to make it again.

I first made this recipe when it was published in Gourmet Magazine in Sept 1995. I had forgotten how good it was until I found it again here.

While visiting my daughter she asked me to make dinner for 18 friends....This chowder was such a hit everyone asked for the recipie....A sure sign of a winner
