Best go-to recipe for bits of leftovers! 12/28/2006 at 09:42pm User: Tim from round rock, TX User Rating: I make this about once every two or three weeks. We use any and all leftover or small bits of fresh veggies any and all leftover meats. I hit it with freshly ground black pepper and a dusting of cayenne. Be very cafeful with the salt if your leftovers are already seasoned. Make sure you meats and veggies are relatively dry first. I also cook at 325 for slightly longer. MMMmmm... Great 12/17/2005 at 10:07am User: WILLIAM from Royston, GA User Rating: Easy to make, and taste great. I used the recipe to make the mini's. Soooooo Easy! 09/30/2006 at 03:32pm User: Anonymous User Rating: This has got to be the easiest quiche type recipe I've ever tried. Adaptable and great for novices. My child can do this one and get great results! Great way to use up leftovers 09/19/2005 at 11:36am User: geri from columbus, OH User Rating: I made this for dinner last night. We had a couple slices of leftover ham and some swiss cheese, so I just chopped up the ham and grated the cheese and used up the leftovers. The nutmeg in the egg & cream mixture adds a great, subtle flavor. Definitely good enough for a repeat performance and just stupidly easy! Yum! 09/17/2006 at 11:08am User: Carolyn from olympia, WA User Rating: I made this for breakfast this morning with the Bacon, Sauteed leeks, and Gruyere cheese. It was delicous! My husband is mildly allergic to dairy and he couldn't eat much of it, but of the little bit he ate, he said it was delicious as well. Too bad he can't have any of the leftovers! Super easy! Super delicious! 09/17/2005 at 07:39am User: Laura from Stafford, VA User Rating: What a wonderful way to change leftovers into a delicious, nutricious meal!!! We use egg substitute and fat-free half and half due to my husband's health, but it's still delicious! They all loved it! 09/14/2006 at 01:54pm User: Beverly from York, PA User Rating: This was so quick and easy. I used bacon, ham, zucchini and montery jack. Delicious! 6 recipies in 1 09/12/2005 at 10:26pm User: Judy from Belmont, CA User Rating: In my view, quiche is the perfect food since it can be eaten morning, noon or night and not be a fish out of water at any meal. It also makes great leftovers, as a quick minute (or less) in most microwaves will resurrect it to out of the oven warm. I've been stuck on 1 quiche recipe for the last two years and you've just expanded my horizons to improvise a lot more with the non-egg ingredients. Keep up the good work. Love the show. Alton is to food what Bill Nye is to science (heard that before?). Kind regards, Judy OMG This was a big hit! 09/05/2006 at 08:50am User: Donna from Dublin, VA User Rating: Thank you Alton!! I made 2 of these today for a party at work and within a hour, they are both gone. I made the spinach, ham and cheddar this time but can't wait to try the other combos. Simply delicious! This was excellent and easy. The whisk described in the show worked excellently with the technique Alton showed. Never knew that whisk could do that! Tasty and Easy 04/28/2007 at 06:47pm User: Erica from Tomball, TX User Rating: I would actually bake for a longer time at 300 because the middle tends to be a little runny. Otherwise, very tasty and easy to improvise on Easy on-hand entree 04/14/2008 at 07:45pm User: Justine from Warwick, RI User Rating: This seemed too basic and easy to be tasty at first read. However, I tried it anyway since I had a pie crust that I didn't have a clue what to do with. I followed the recipe with spinach, canned artichoke hearts, and a Mexican farm cheese which I used in big chunks throughout the pie. It came out nice the very first time I made it, and although it is simplistic in taste, it is also one of those "better the next day" entrees. I loved the base recipe so much that I decided to make it again within a week and added another layer of flavor by slicing fresh tomatoes to bake atop the pie. Delish!! perfect for brunch 04/10/2005 at 10:15am User: Cara from Hamden, CT User Rating: I used this on Easter and made 2 pies. One was spinach, onion and parmesean and the other was tomato, bacon and leeks. And it's so easy! I used the refrigerated pie crust that Pillsbury has in the dairy section. Beautimous 04/06/2006 at 12:24pm User: Tim from West Point, MS User Rating: This is one recipe that I will be making again (and not just because you get two pie crusts in a pack). This recipe can be made with endless ingredients and with my son having a milk allergy, the ability to modify the recipe to use soy milk and other cow-milk-free products, is extremely important for my wife and I. Thank you Mr. Brown for the education and thank you Food Network for the great programs. Love the variety!! 04/04/2007 at 05:36pm User: Maria from Grand Rapids, MI User Rating: We love this recipe in our house! We've done it with a low carb crust for the carb concious husband, with extra cheese for the kids and with apples and cheddar as a twist on a classic dessert... so tasty 03/30/2008 at 01:03pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I'd never had quiche before and was a little apprehensive. This recipe was fast, easy, and tasty all at once. We made the bacon, leek version. It was awesome...no leftovers at all. I plan on making one of the other options soon to use up the other pie crust that I bought. Another winner from AB. Royale delight 03/21/2008 at 03:13am User: Tyler from Ingleside, IL User Rating: I prepared this recipe with bacon, cheddar cheese and sun-dried tomatoes. My wife and kids gave a hearty "Mmmm!", "this is awesome!" after taking just one bite. This is a very creamy, smooth and flavorful dish. Very rich. Each bite brought about a fresh combination of flavors. great! 03/20/2008 at 10:49pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I ditched the pie crust and used light soymilk instead of milk. When I use 1 percent milk with eggs it comes out too runny but the light soy milk is still creamy and not runny at all. Spinach and parmasan was my choice, and if you sprinkle a little parm on top it comes out with a nice crust. easy side dish for my family 03/19/2005 at 11:53am User: SHAUN from Jamestown, ND User Rating: I am constantly looking for easy side dishes my children will eat besides mac & cheese.
