It just felt like it needed *something* in terms of flavor - it tasted a little bland. I added black truffle oil and mixed that in just before serving and that made ALL the difference in the world. I used dried wild mushrooms and reconstituted them in boiled water and used this as the mushroom stock. This gave the risotto a distinct mushroom taste. |
