This recipe was really easy and tasted great! I used walnuts instead of pistachios and I added a bit of nutmeg in with the cinnamon. Everyone at work loved these rollups--and best of all, they tasted like I spent a ton of time making them. A great treat for only a little time!

Easy!! YUM

I made these for our monthly "Family Dinner" for the adults and the kids wanted to try them! Very easy considering it was my first time using phyllo dough. This recipe is keeper, I just need to use more honey to keep them from being dry. Oh, and I used all walnuts instead of the almonds and pistacios.

My mother came to visit & brought the ingredients in with her to make this. She had already tried it at home & knew we would like it also. She was right!!! Yum.

Did not work for me

This recipe looked good on the show but it did not turn out for me. To start, it was not sweet enough like you expect with Baklava. Next time, I would have added may brown sugar to off set the saltiness of the nuts. I think this recipe could be okay with more sweet ingredients like honey/sugar/brown sugar and less nuts. Although next time I want Baklava, I might try one of the more traditional recipes. K

This tastes fantastic and, other than phyllo dough being temperamental, is very simple!

Pretty good.

I tried this recipe out for the first time today and it turned out pretty good. It took me a couple tries to get the right amount of nuts spread on the dough, but the taste of it is great, even with tons of nuts!

All the flavor without all the work

This was so easy! It had all the taste of baklava but not all the labor intensive work that goes in to true baklava. I will make it again and again. I might even play around with different filling options now that I have the method.

Quick & Easy Treat

Well, unlike the first two reviewers, I actually MADE this recipe and was pleased with the overall results. (Isn't the whole point of writing a review to share results/feelings with other food enthusiasts after you TRY the recipe???) Anyway, these rollups came out great. I struggled a little while rolling them up (the dough kept splitting and the filling leaked out) but I re-wrapped with 2 more phyllo sheets and the problem was solved. This is a great dessert to share over coffee...try it! :)

I tried this recipe and while it's not like the Baklava I had from a restaurant this was pretty good and I'm sure a lot quicker. I actually would have given it a 4 I'm countering the previous reviews that don't deal with the taste of the recipe.

Yes, she did lick her fingers. And it's not the first time I've seen her do that. 30 wacks with a wooden spoon to her!!

Whoa! Tell me she didn't just lick her fingers while working with the phyllo...like she was flipping through a stack of papers. A good editor could have saved that one!!
