Just Okay 05/12/2008 at 08:16am User: Anonymous User Rating: This was just okay - more below average. I thought the wine was very overpowering and it was very salty even though I used reduced sodium broth. The potatoes came out all red from the wine and didn't look very appealing. **IF** I make this again (which I doubt I will) I would roast the veggies on the side. In my opinion, a waste of a good cut of meat. I've tried a few recipes from this show and I don't like any of them. this was my last one... I'm going back to Barefoot Contessa - now, that's a lady who can cook. fabulous dish 04/30/2008 at 02:58pm User: Joyce from Agoura Hills, CA User Rating: I made this for my husband and he LOVED it. Very easy, the meat was fork tender and it just got better with each passing day. super simple 04/23/2008 at 09:13pm User: stacy from torrance, CA User Rating: i never made brisket before. i was really hesitant also. coming from texas my mom made a great brisket on the bbq. couldnt believe this would be good on the stove. the meat was tender, carrots were sweet, and the gravy was savory. best of all it was all in one pot. Really Good 04/21/2008 at 03:26pm User: Jeanna from Benton, AR User Rating: We really enjoyed this brisket. I was worried that it wouldn't cook in the allotted time, but it was perfectly tender. We added barbeque sauce to the leftovers the next day and had sandwiches, still a hit. Mother-In-Law Pleaser!! 04/20/2008 at 01:42am User: Anonymous User Rating: I made this for my in-laws, (always scary since my mother-in-law is an AMAZING Italian cook) and they loved it!! She said you better write this recipe down and keep it because that was delicious! And it's simple to make too so I definitely recommend it! Delicious! 03/27/2008 at 12:37pm User: CATHY from Ansonia, CT User Rating: I made this recipe last night for supper and it was a huge hit with myself and my family. I could not believe how easy it was to prepare. I had used the crockpot and within minutes, it was simmering away and I came home to a wonderful meal waiting for me. And the house had a fantastic aroma from the brisket simmering all day. I had left out the potatoes and thickened the gravy with flour and then poured it over the meat and rice. There are a lot of possibilities with this recipe. Thank you so much Robin for another great recipe that is a keeper and will be used a LOT!! Great Brisket 03/26/2008 at 07:35pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Loved the recipe as it had great taste and was easy to make. I would like the recipe for the very easy key lime pie as it was not on the recipe list on the computer list. Thank you. Marvelous! 03/22/2008 at 08:15am User: Katie from Chicago, IL User Rating: Preparing to make this meal, I had some hesitation as I had never before made brisket. However, given the ingredients and the fact that you can put it all together and then forget about it for a few hours, I forged ahead. The results were wonderful; meat that was savory and vegtables that were just right! Also, the juice made a delicious gravy. Great taste and very easy to make 03/16/2008 at 10:44am User: Ron & Donna from Newton, NJ User Rating: Great taste and very easy to make and is especially good over rice!
