A perfect recipe for some left over smoked salmon. Great flavor and easy to make. My husband and I loved them. Next time I would let the food processor do most of the mincing for the garlic and shallots and add the salmon later or process it less to leave it a little more chunked than it turned out to be. I used panko bread crumbs which made a nicely crispy crust.

I had a hubbie and six kids waiting for dinner. We all loved the salmon and veggies(I grilled some chicken breasts for the non-fish eaters) The only problem I had was it was a bit too time-consuming for every day. I must have done something wrong with the dill sauce as it didnt really thicken. But everyone loved the flavors.Thanks much!!

I made the essence from the recipe and used as instructed and it was way to salty. Also the cakes were too loose. I had a hard time getting them to stay together.
