Easy and delicious!!!!! 12/21/2006 at 10:36pm User: KEN from Coral Springs, FL User Rating: Much easier than it sounds! Sure to be a hit at any party! 10/08/2007 at 05:51pm User: Anonymous User Rating: We made this for my party and we couldn't make them fast enough. People couldn't get enough of them. We ended making 8 dozen all together, and it wasn't enough cause I only got to eat one at the whole party. I will make sure to have these again at the next party! As good as a 5 star restaurant! 09/22/2004 at 08:10pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I served these at a dinner party and everyone loved them! My best friend actually sent me a thank you note days later and said that the oyster rockefeller made her feel like she was at a 5 star restaurant. It was easy to make but you need to have all the ingredients ready once you start. I will definitely make this again! Easy and Excellent 08/21/2005 at 11:10am User: Joe from Dallas, TX User Rating: This was easy to prepare and was an excellent result. Our guests inhaled them. AWESOME!! 08/19/2007 at 04:04pm User: Rita from Excelsior, MN User Rating: Served this as an appetizer for our gourmet group dinner, and all the "foodies" raved!! I doubled the recipe for spinach mixture and crumb mixture. I also added about 1 1/2C chopped watercress to the spinach for a little bite. These were awesome served with a good champagne. Looking forward to serving them again!! A treat! 06/21/2006 at 10:34pm User: LUISA from Houston, TX User Rating: I made these last year for valentine's day for my boyfriend who had never had oysters before. We both fell in love with everything about this dish, and now it's our tradition to make these every year. I absolutely love the use of panko. These are terribly delicious! Mother's Day Rockefellers 04/03/2005 at 11:20am User: DARKA from chicago, IL User Rating: As much as I love Oyster Rockefellers, I now enjoy them at home for every special occassion. My husband, who is by no means gifted in the "culinary arts" along with my 11 year old have produced these spectacular gems for me on several occassions! Fabulous recipe! Can't be beat! Thanks Tyler! absolutely delicious 03/04/2007 at 12:36pm User: anne from decatur, GA User Rating: I didn't have pernod but they were still fabulous. Thought I failed..... but it turned out FANTASTIC! 03/04/2007 at 06:56am User: Anonymous User Rating: I made this recipe for my fiance some years ago for Valentines Day. I had never in my life made Oysters Rockefeller. I had to go to a specialty store just to get them, and that was a 25-minute drive by its self! So I got down to biz after I finally got home. I made all the recipe items as listed then panicked when I was missing an ingredient. I cannot for the life of me remember what I replaced the missing ingredient with but I though it was going to taste horrid. It certainly did not smell very good. I crossed my fingers and tossed it in the oven. Everything looked "okay". I tossed it together on the table in a fairly nice looking way (mind you bachlorette pad with little space and no real fancy dishes). My fiance showed early (yes again panic). Well, I joined him at the table and stared at him cringing when he went to take the first bite. He set down the shell and looks at me rather upset. I was about to cry! He goes " I hate to tell you this but this is awesome! I love it!" How evil is that! Hah! I would highly recommend this recipe. It was easy to follow and tasted great! (even to me, and I am not that keen on oysters!) FANTASTIC 03/03/2005 at 02:53pm User: ROCHELLE from mill creek, WA User Rating: My husband has eaten these at several restaurants while on business and said these were the best he had. I would double the spinach mixture next time. |
