So great even if you're not a vegetarian 03/30/2008 at 04:47pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I absolutely cannot live without chick peas but I am currently watching my weight so I loved Ellie's idea of baking this instead of frying. I saw the other reviewer's comment about them falling apart so I added 1 T of wheat bread crumbs, juice of 1/2 lemon and only used 1/2 T oil. They baked beautifully and can't wait to have them in pita pockets at lunch this week! Baked Felafel 03/28/2008 at 04:30pm User: Sara from Forest Hills, NY User Rating: This recipe was OK. The felafel fell apart and the tahini sauce was very thick. I would recommend adding more lemon to the sauce. Loved it 03/26/2008 at 02:59pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Tasted so much like the felafel from a restaurant. My husband loved it too. Very easy to make. Took me about an hour and did another entree in parallel. Easy and healthy 03/23/2008 at 04:59pm User: Beth from San Francisco, CA User Rating: An easy, healthy alternative to fried falafel. A little crumbly after they were baked, but the flavor is good. I will definitely make again. Didn't make the tahini sauce because I'm not a huge fan; topped with a little cucumber yogurt sauce instead. |
