I used frozen peas, instead of canned peas (frozen don't get squishy). I also added some chopped smoked bacon and increased rice to 6 cups in order for the seasonings to spread out more. My husband and I LOVE this recipie - has a nice kick to it and is extremely flavorful.

I have not tried this recipe, but it caught my attention as I am Cuban. I do not know where this came from, but this is by no means Cuban rice. I would like to add that I did not try the recipe so it may be good rice, but it is not Cuban rice!
