extremely tasty 12/07/2005 at 08:42am User: Anonymous User Rating: Lovely soup. I did leave out the cilantro, as I am one of the people who cannot tolerate it, but it was easy to make and had a nice, fresh taste due to the lime juice. yummy 10/17/2004 at 02:04pm User: Anonymous User Rating: really easy to make, it saves well for days. yum 09/17/2007 at 08:18pm User: amanda from chicago, IL User Rating: wonderful....I used a rotisserie chicken to save time Nice balance of flavor and heat 09/11/2006 at 06:07pm User: Scott from Elmhurst, IL User Rating: This is a nice weeknight dinner with a salad. Kids love the homemade tortilla strips (I like to sprinkle with some parmesan, salt and pepper). Adjust heat by adding/lessening serranos and cilantro. 08/04/2004 at 11:07pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Delicious summer soup! 08/01/2007 at 04:45pm User: Amy from St. Louis, MO User Rating: The lime and tomato make this soup the perfect summer soup. It's a fresh twist on an old favorite! Easy/Unique/Addictive 07/23/2004 at 05:24pm User: ANNISSA from Orlando, FL User Rating: The soup is so very fresh, it makes a perfect summer soup. My best friend is spanish and he was my test subject. The next day he called me and said, "I don't want to eat anything that doesn't taste like that soup." My whole family loves it. We're from Yucatan and although weve never heard of it before, it tastes great! FANTASTIC!! 05/29/2007 at 02:03pm User: Anonymous User Rating: My only suggestion is to respect the serrano chiles...don't put any more than it says to in order to give it a good kick! fast and impressive! 03/22/2006 at 05:36pm User: douglas from neptune city, NJ User Rating: This soup is great everytime and doesn't take much time as you combine most ingredients. It gets better with age so make it a day or two in advance - you can hold off on the tomatoes in this case and throw them in at the end. I have used both fresh and canned chiles, both work well. I prefer a little more garlic and seasoning so play with it as you go. Tasty, delicious soup 02/18/2005 at 10:38pm User: SY from San Francisco, CA User Rating: This soup ca be used as a main dish. It's tasty, smokey, and very good. Better than Mexico 02/11/2006 at 06:30am User: Anonymous User Rating: My family goes to Mexico once a year and we love the lime soup there. This soup was even better than what we get in Mexico. It is easy to make, healthy, and delicious. I will make this again and again. This will be a classic 01/04/2005 at 11:37pm User: REBECCA from Tomball, TX User Rating: Everyone seems to love this soup! Even the kids! The best! 01/02/2005 at 12:28am User: Anonymous User Rating: This soup was absolutely delicious. I have been hoping to find a recipe that was similar to one of our favorite restaurant's, however, this is more complex in flavor and better than the one we enjoyed out! |
