Sal Cave Creek Ariz Great & Easy 12/29/2007 at 05:49pm User: Allen from Edmond, OK User Rating: You can't drive to a take-out place faster than you can make this soup--and my family likes it better. Eh... 12/17/2006 at 09:21pm User: Sarah-Ruth from Portland, OR User Rating: Decent, not wonderful. Not very flavorful, but easy. Added some tofu, which was yummy. Ease to prepare 12/17/2004 at 06:26pm User: CINDY from Houston, TX User Rating: Way better than the Egg Drop Soup at my local place! A basic recipe with good flavor. You can use chicken bouillon, if so, for the cornstarch mixture use water and you most likely will not need to add salt and pepper, also might need to add more water with the bouillon to prevent it from being to salty. Like the previous review said, this recipe can be expanded on. I added some finely chopped Nappa Cabbage. I will make this again. It was easy, but it was bland 10/24/2005 at 03:49pm User: Anonymous User Rating: This was an easy recipe to make, but it had no flavor, just chicken soup. I won't make this again. tyler's soup 10/17/2006 at 07:38am User: Nathalie from Ozark, MO User Rating: fabulous it was an ultimate. quick and easy to make , great selection Nathalie in the show me state the heart of the ozarks Excellent 10/08/2007 at 11:08pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Easy to prepare and very tasty. Ehhh... 10/02/2005 at 05:36pm User: Michelle from mesa, AZ User Rating: I really did not find this dish to be very tasty. It did not thicken enough, and the taste was not very authentic. Good As Any Egg Drop Soup 09/10/2005 at 07:36pm User: Robert from SLC, UT User Rating: This is as good as any egg drop soup. Egg Drop soup is a simple chinese-american soup consisting of basically chicken stock and egg. The added ginger gives it a nice kick. An alternative is to simmer the broth with a couple of coins of fresh ginger about 1/2 hour prior to making the soup. Remove the coins prior to serving and omit the grated ginger from the recipe. the best 08/02/2006 at 10:18am User: JULIE from san antonio, TX User Rating: amazing on some of the revies saying no taste, they must be using some bad ingriedients. Good 03/02/2006 at 06:04pm User: RICHARD from Spring, TX User Rating: I actually use this more than once and it comes out fairly nice. The recipe is easy to follow and super fast to make. The only problem I find is that the chicken stock taste is a bit strong and something that lingers to the last bite. Chinese year recipe 03/01/2007 at 12:11pm User: Anonymous User Rating: This isn't like the Egg Drop soup you would get at a restuarant, I think it's better, especially when topped off with green onions. Very easy to make. Simply Heaven 02/25/2007 at 07:20am User: Anonymous User Rating: This soup is VERY easy to make and is delicious! Asian Egg Drop Soup 02/12/2006 at 07:44pm User: Frances from Crossville, TN User Rating: I tried this soup and it was excellent. I will use it again. simple taste 02/01/2006 at 06:09am User: Anonymous User Rating: I was interested in what broth is used..but it was just a chicken broth. Fabulous recipe! 01/12/2008 at 07:05pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Great recipe, easy, and amazing flavor. This is my favorite kind of soup and I'm very picky in restaurants. This definitely met my standards. I agree with the reviews that suggest adding some coins of ginger root then simmering for a while. I also added bamboo shoots, baby corn, and tofu which was delicious. Next time I'll add spinach too. Next time I'll also reduce the amount of soy sauce. Depending on what kind of chicken stock you use, the soy sauce can make it a little too salty. But other than that, AMAZING!!! Kid friendly 01/11/2005 at 10:54am User: SARAH from Dover, OH User Rating: Very easy, very tasty- served with celery stalks and my kids thought it was great! So did I- simple quick recipe for busy weekdays. |
