Great for guests--can make most parts in advance! 06/24/2008 at 04:55pm User: Lynn from Hebron, MD User Rating: I made this recipe when I was looking for something to do with shredded pheasant leg meat. It was excellent. House full of guests raved. We liked it so much that I now make the filling up in huge batches to freeze. Using pre-made empanada shells makes for a quick and easy dinner that rocks. Homemade dough even better, if you have the time. Not bad, but not great... 03/08/2008 at 05:15pm User: Paul from Grand Forks, ND User Rating: The results from this recipe did not quite meet my expectations. The only real problem with the recipe seemed to be that it turned out too salty, even though the recipe doesn't call for that much sauce. Maybe the mix of the salt with the Essence made it too salty. The gravy was very salty and I had to include some sour cream and milk to tone it down, but it ended up being fine. The dish has in indistinct flavor, not good or bad, but certainly not excellent. On the plus side, this was the first time I cooked a whole duck and it was great! dijonnaise 01/18/2008 at 02:35pm User: Anonymous User Rating: ddfdffg The empanada dough did not turn out. 03/29/2006 at 09:45am User: Anonymous User Rating: The filling for the empanada's was great. The problme was in the empanada dough. FOr some reason it was really dry, and it cracked when we baked it.
