For simple brownies these work. I thought the flavor was good-very similar to boxed brownies actually. I baked mine for 25mins and they were very moist, nice and soft. (if you want a more cake-like brownie, cook for 30mins )

I won't be making this one again. My son enjoyed them, but I think that the brownie mixs at the store make better brownies then this recipe.

Just Better Brownies

My 3 yr. old son and I made these - very easy! With no trans fat (any thing in a box to bake has trans fat) and we picked out the chocolate to put in it. We threw in a handful of chocolate chips to make them extra chocolately. My husband said they were just like at a bakery - just better!

The best brownies ever!

I tried these brownies and i loved them!!! They are the best...extremely moist and sweet!!! I love the thin crust on top as it bakes and the chewy-ness of it!!!

This is my second time making these brownies----so easy to make and very yummy. To make it less sweet, I cut down the sugar to 1 cup. The one problem is that it tends to get hard around the edges. But overall, these brownies get a thumbs up. Icing sugar makes a very nice presentation.

They came out perfect. I sprinkled confection sugar on them and could hardly keep the kids away from them.

The first bite was disappointing, as said in another review, these brownies are way too sweet and they don't have enough chocolate taste... but then, may be they are supposed to be like that, like fudge, which is overly sweet... The recipe is easy enough, though... super quick... and the electric beater is not necessary... a fork does the job...

excellent and delicous

Not what I expected from Food Network...

I went into this recipe with very high hopes of a decadent, fudgey brownie, but instead I ended up with an overly sweet limited chocolate flavor brownie. Don't get me wrong, it was not horrific, it was just too sweet and not chocolatey enough for my tastes. I baked it for about 30 minutes in the oven and it came out looking really nice, but the flavor was lacking. I should mention I added 2 additional ounces of semisweet chocolate to the mix.

awesome

These brownies are so easy to make, and I substituted mini chocolate chips which put these over the top.

Your recipe reads prep time: 15 min. and cook time 1 hour 30 minutes but in the recipe it says to place the pan in the middle of the oven and bake 25 to 30 minutes. I baked them 30 min. and they were perfect. I think you need to revise the baking time. They are very delicios and moist. I will make them again. Thank you. Marilyn Smith Strongsville, OH
