Easy and delicious. The tip regarding using a wooden spoon was greatr. I do not use garlic salt. Will make the herbed sour cream with chives next time. It needs a bit more flavor.

Awesome!!!

Really Great Side Dish

I made this recipe tonight with rave reviews! I have tried before but always cut through the potatoes. The wooden spoon did the trick. I am not a big fan of sour cream so I added a little of the tub margarine to the mixture and it was fabulous! Will definitely make many more times!

Loved these potatoes

Used small Yukon Gold potatoes (all they had at the store) -- and sliced shallots in as many potato slices as I could; just great. Used garlic powder & fresh dill in the sour cream (because I had it & love w/ potatoes) -- again, superb. Will definitely make again!

Great potato dish

I generally cook potatoes with 3 out of 7 of our evening meals every week and am always wanting to find new, easy and tasty ways to cook them. This covered all three areas and would be a great side dish to any meat.

We prepared these potatoes tonight with the Wilted Greens with Bacon Vinaigreet and Steak. Yummy. Using the spoon made cutting the potatoes very easy. I used chives in The Herbed Sour Cream which was wonderful. Thank you for a new way to make potatoes.

This was the best potato recipe I have ever tried. Cutting the potatos on a wooden spoon is genius! Anyone can look like a gourmet chef and it is so easy. The potatos were absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly, slightly crunchy on the edges and soft on the inside. The sour cream was the perfect topping. My husband loved them, too and he is very picky. I am making them for company next weekend.

So easy and elegant

This recipe has become a staple in my house. I make them for company because they are visually appealing but also about twice a week for my family. My kids (9 & 10) love them, request them and since they take about 5 mins to prep its a win win! They help make them too chopping the garlic and stuffing the potatoes. I up the s&p and also throw a little rosemary into the sour cream sauce. The kids

This was such a nice change than the regular baked potato. The garlic slices made these spuds unique and the herbed sour cream is a must to go along with this great new side dish........

My husband and I loved these potatoes. I also used Yukon Gold potatoes because that is what I had, but I want to try them with the reds, too. We love garlic so I added extra. They were so good, especially with the sour cream on top.

I mean they looked absolutely fantastic and they were good, but not great. It took quite awhile to prepare and cut the potatoes and I'm not sure it was any better than simply roasting the potatoes in the oven w/out cutting them in the hasselback style. I think they looked pretty and if you were having a dinner party they would like nicer than plain old roasted potatoes. But, I don't usually have dinner parties. I made these for me and my 1 year old and we both enjoyed them, they were just time consuming. I love Sunny's show though and find that she has a lot of unique ideas. Keep it up!!

I absolutely loved these potatoes they were so easy to make and look so elegant served. My husband commented with each bite he ate. I didn't have any parsley so i used chives in the sour cream instead the only thing i would recommend is if you have some of the larger new potatoes you will need extra cooking time about 20 minutes. This will definitely be a recipe i use over and over again.

Pretty Okay.

Definately simple and looked great. I felt shallots would have been a little tastier than all the garlic. I worried about the cooking time, but potatoes definately needed the full hour. Okay, but not spectacular. Family was not big fans.

These are great! What a great dish for company - I love the ruffled look to the finished potato. I added a bit of grated parmesan to the sour cream mixture and omitted the garlic as I thought there was enough. We loved them!

I love red potatoes and I love garlic and this was simple but had an elegant look to it. I love the tip of cutting the potatoes while in the spoon to avoid cutting all the way through -- worked like a charm. I tried a few different sour cream variations -- one with parsley, one with charred rosemary and one with dill.

Oh so good

These potatoes are great. Made them last night and I'm making them again tonight with a meatloaf. Crunchy and salty outside, creamy and garlicky inside and the sour cream on top just finishes it perfectly.
