wilted salad is better w/chopped leaf lettuce, chopped green onions, then pour hot bacon grease and vinegar over it - add crumbled bacon

I serve this salad at least twice a week. My husband loves it and it is so simple to make. I have added thinly sliced onion to the bacon as it cooks and it adds a nice flavor to the dressing.

Simple, elegant, easy and sooo delicious. Will become an instant classic at my house. I added a bit of gorgonzola cheese crumbles as well..a bit of heaven!
