Thanks Alton for this super easy recipe! I had made a spinach salad and wanted a honey-dijon dressing quick! This sure fit the bill. I only gave it a 4 because it was very good but not *great*... I will definetly use it again.

Tastes great

I ran out of rice wine vinegar so I used regular white vinegar instead. It still tasted great on my salad. I served it at a dinner party and everyone loved it.

Easy and economical

This is my new favorite salad dressing. Store bought dressing is super expensive for what you get and the favor doesn't touch this simple recipe. I'll never buy this one again.

This was too sweet for my taste, but I enjoyed it. My guest thought it was delicious and wants me to make it again for him.

This was delicious and so easy to make! There aren't many fat free dressings that are even edible, but this one was awesome. I didn't have any rice wine vinegar, so I used white wine and it turned out fine. I would recomend this to anyone!

Like all things Alton, this recipe does not disappoint! I served it over some left-over caribean jerk chicken breast and made a salad of it. The honey cooled the spice of the jerk seasoning and the rice vinegar enhanced the aroma and taste of the allspice and thyme on the chicken. Bravo Alton! Keep up the excellent work!

good flavor, but thin

I thought the flavor of this dressing was very good, but it was quite thin, which is why I am referring to it as a dressing. I wanted to use it as a dip and have that lighter color and thicker consistency, so I mixed in Miracle Whip Light (2 T for a 1/2 recipe, 4 for a full) and it was fantastic! I used it for dipping chicken tenders and then the next day as a spread for a turkey sandwich. However, if you were to use this as a dressing for a salad, the regular version might be nice.

I love this dressing/dip. I've used it as both - for chicken, for salad. My daughter eats it straight! It's easy to make, too. Of course, you have to like honey and mustard.

A breeze to make in 5 minutes. The added bonus is the calorie content and the lack of fat.

I was very pleased with my results. I'd made attempts before, but the rice wine vinegar was key to making it all work.

Only takes 1 time to make this to add it to the "keeper" file...Excellant dip and salad dressing...really kicks up chicken fingers a lot!! using different mustards give it a lil different taste but we really love it just like the recipe...thanks for a dip thats NOT loaded with fat!! Great combo Alton !!!

Good Dressing

User: Janet from St. George, UT    User Rating:
Although my daughter loved this dressing, it was a little too strong for me, but then I don't really like a strong Dijon flavor, and she does. If I make it again, I think I'll cut back a little on the Dijon. I did like the fact that it has no oil and hence is much less fattening than other honey mustard dressing recipes I have tried.

Super, 3-ingredient alternative to mayonaise or oil based dressings. Tastes great and easy to prepare--I used it to dress a simple green salad with grilled chicken.

I made this dressing up for a party and the guests loved it and soaked up every drop. The next day I was flooded with requests for bottles of it. The only improvement would be suggestions for thickening it up for use on Hot Dogs.
