You will NEED to have a very good freezer to freeze all the ice cream balls, or else they will not come out as good. Besides, you'll also need to make sure that you coat the ice cream ball really, really well (as directed) then keep it in the freezer for at least some hours. Plan to do this ahead (like 24 hours ahead) and keep it in the freezer if you plan to serve this for a party. Everyone loved this dessert and always amazed how simple it really is.

This recipe was fun and easy to make. I used chocolate chip pecan sandies for my cookies and my children loved it.

This is the closest to the real thing that can rarely be found in great mexican restaurants!!! Easy and great tasting....I use honey for the topping vs. chocolate.

Instead of BBQ we chose a Mexican theme for the 4th of July celebration, and this was the only dessert I wanted to serve and make on my own. It was a hit. I didn't make enough because I didn't know if anyone would like it but the licked the bowls.

after reading "fried" and "ice cream" as the name i thought what could be better? big dissapointment. the ice cream was hard to handle and ended up just tasting like normal ice cream. not impressed.

Not quite restaurant quality but deffinatley good. I reduced frying time to 15 secs per previous review which seemed to be a good time. I also left out the cookie part and just coated with frosted flakes. I topped with strawberries instead of chocolate sauce.

i was anxious to try this, but afraid i would get deep fried ice cream soup... but i was happily surprised at how well it worked. i definately fried it under 30 seconds, though. make sure you follow all directions such as keeping it frozen long enough, and work fast as you roll on topping!
