This is not naan bread 11/01/2006 at 11:59am User: mimi from ithaca, NY User Rating: This bread isnt like the naan bread that you would eat in an Indian resturant. The bread turned out hard. Not even close! 09/24/2006 at 07:57pm User: Terri from Coral Gables, FL User Rating: Emeril, we love ya, Baby, but this is not naan bread! Not even close. Naan bread is soft, fluffy and thin. This is crunchy like a thin cracker. It tastes pretty good... and it could possibly be great for other uses, but naan bread it ain't! Yummy 08/26/2007 at 06:15pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Easy. This is not naan.... 07/12/2006 at 11:34am User: Anonymous User Rating: I have another naan recipe that's pretty good, but wanted to experiment with something new to see if it would be better. It wasn't. My recipe cooks on the grill, and maybe this recipe would work better on the grill, too. I found that at the relatively low temperature in the oven, they took a lot longer to brown than the recipe said--and by the time they were golden, they were more like crackers. They tasted fine, but they were not naan! Emeril Lagasse's Naan Recipe 05/21/2007 at 05:56pm User: Grainne from Oklahoma City, OK User Rating: This recipe was quite easy to make, and didn't take much time, either. I was really pleased. Sorta OK 03/20/2007 at 01:36pm User: Dave from Murray, UT User Rating: It looked like Naan, it tasted like Naan but it sure wasn't light and fluffy. Watch the cooking time, it might take a bit longer. helpful tip 03/05/2005 at 01:17pm User: ALLISON from Salina, KS User Rating: To make this bread really good, you need to sprinkle some curry powder over it before baking and spread homemade hummus on before eating. Yum. A bit too dense and dry 02/10/2006 at 04:17pm User: Evan from East Lansing, MI User Rating: Thia naan was a bit too dry for my taste. Better then some restaurants 02/06/2005 at 05:58pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Quick, easy and good. Best if Sauteed in Butter!!!!! 01/26/2006 at 01:27pm User: Brynna from Tallahassee, FL User Rating: Instead of rolling the dough, I thought that it was more fun and rustic to spread the dough out with my hands. Then I baked half of the dough like the recipie says, and the other half I sauteed in butter over medium heat. The naan sauteed in butter was amazing. The naan baked in the oven was good, but it did not come close to sauteed naan. not what expected 01/19/2006 at 06:27pm User: Anonymous User Rating: While this bread is quick and easy, and it tastes alright (although a little plain, if you as me), it is not at all the soft, bubbly naan you get in indian restaraunts. This was crap Emiril. 01/07/2008 at 01:19am User: Tad from Los Angeles, CA User Rating: Should have known by prep time. |
