This is my favorite banana bread recipe. I use ground oatmeal instead of the wheat flour. When I buy the buttermilk, I measure it out and freeze it so it is easier to have on hand when I want to bake.

It made a very good bread. I would sugest adding more sugar. I put 1 and 1/4 cups of sugar and it was perfect.
Wonderful "less" fat banana nut bread.

I have made this recipe since February 2002 when I first saw it made on TV. Everyone who has tasted it has enjoyed it and cannot tell that I have reduced the fat and sugar. Enjoy!

I made this cake last night for Thanksgiving. First off, I am not a "baker", but got bit by the holiday bug! It was so easy to make (thanks to Paula). My mom was there with me when I baked it and it came out so good that she is going to bake one today!!

ihave been raising money for a charity so i decided to make this bread. It was a big hit. I made two batches, selling each slice for a dollar. they were both sold within an hour! i did however add and extra 1/4 cup of sugar to each batch. i am making another batch tonight!

My family and I truly enjoyed this recipe. I meant it as a breakfast but it was a wonderful dessert as well. To add a little more sweetness, we dipped the bread in some cinnamon-sugar. Overall, a delight.

This recipe made a delicious load of banana bread. I found that I needed to put a tent of foil over the load during the last 20 (or so)to keep the top from getting overly dark. What works for me is to portion the loaf into 12 sevings and then cut each serving into 4 pieces before freezing it. That way, fter defrosting the single portion, I'm less inclined to eat this delicious bread more slowly - enjoying each bite!

Best banana bread I ever had! Husband and four daughters love it too! My oldest daughter made it brought it to school and her teachers asked her for the recipe. It's healthy too!

Mine turned out very heavy and not very sweet. I feel it definately needs more sugar. It didn't appear to get done at bottom of loaf. I don't know what happened. Not the best banana nut bread I've ever had.

This turned out just fine. I don't really have any complaints, it just wasn't Wonderful. Maybe it could have been a little bit lighter, it turned out kind of like a brick. I've never made it before, though, so that may have been my own fault. It tasted okay, though.

I fixed the recepe last week and it came out great. I thought that with the wheat flour in it that it would not have much flavor, but it really did. It was also, very moist. The only thing that I would probably do differently is add an extra banana.
