This is probibly the closes recipe that I have came across that resembled a REAL hot pot. But nothing can compare to being in a Shabu Shabu in Taiwan.

It's worth the prep work! Be sure to get the meat sliced as thinly as possible. When we were all done with the 'dipping' we added the ginger-soy sauce to the 'soup.' It was terrific.

This was a good addition to a fondu dinner.

Just like our favorite Japanese restaurant!

This recipe is just like the shabu shabu at our favorite restaurant. I recommend adding the grated daikon radish to the dipping sauce, and skip the ponzu. My kids love to eat this - we serve the broth in a fondue pot and cook at the table.
