You have to really like crunchy almonds in a moist cake. We did not. Matzo Cake Meal was not readily available (I went to 4 grocery stores) and ended up blending Matzo Meal instead. Not a keeper for us.

This cake is delicious for anytime of year, but careful! Its not kosher for Passover! Confectioners sugar (part of the glaze) is mixed with corn starch and therefore is not able to be used on this holiday. As a decorative alternative, try mixing potato starch with regular granulated sugar for better sticking quality.
