I did not know I could do that! 07/13/2008 at 04:41pm User: Carmen from Gainesville, FL User Rating: So easy! So yummy! Really Amazing 06/23/2008 at 06:25pm User: Anonymous User Rating: This recipe is great. I made homemade wontons and I left out the ginger and shrimp and it tasted awesome. Even the sauce was delicious. The kitchen smelled amazing when I was cooking. The only thing is that this recipe only yielded 10 small eggrolls. Everyone loved them and i will probably make them again very soon. hi 01/19/2008 at 11:36am User: nataly from san antonio, TX User Rating: the recipe sounds delicious!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOT A KEEPER 01/01/2008 at 02:43am User: DAWN from THOUSAND OAKS, CA User Rating: The red pepper didn't taste right. Sauce needed a lil something. Egg Roll Review 08/04/2007 at 10:04pm User: Tina from Altona, NY User Rating: Almost as good as mine! pretty good 06/17/2007 at 10:20pm User: Anonymous User Rating: i made these eggrolls for part of a meal one night, and although everyone in my family liked them and the dipping sauce, i did not want to try them. after i made them crispy and crunchy, i kept them in the oven to keep them warm while i prepared the rest of the meal. when i served them however, they turned kind of soggy/squishy...so either prepare them just before you eat, or dont put them in the oven. Very Very Tasty 06/01/2007 at 08:09pm User: kemi from Brooklyn, NY User Rating: I am never "buying" eggrolls again. Why? when you can make them yourself and you can actually see a piece of "shrimp" rather than the pseudoshrimps you find in the storebought/fastfood place. I am making this again!!! Great eggrols!!! 04/17/2007 at 05:28pm User: Tracy from Chico, CA User Rating: I had made eggrolls before but wanted something with more flavor and this recipe was it! egg rolls are great 05/12/2005 at 11:28pm User: cory from tucson, AZ User Rating: these egg rolls are the greatest i have ever tasted.Better than even takamatsu here in tucson! Amazing 03/23/2005 at 01:56pm User: WANDA from Midland, TX User Rating: I made these for my son. My husband came home early and had one too. He was blown away with how good they were. My son has asked me to make them three time in the last 2 weeks. Holy num! 03/03/2005 at 11:55pm User: Anonymous User Rating: First shot at cooking anything more complicated than pasta, and they worked like a charm! Awesome flavor! Tasty! 01/10/2005 at 10:50am User: DOREEN from Charleston, SC User Rating: This recipe will only make 10 egg rolls. Please adjust accordingly. Excellent and so easy 10/20/2004 at 09:44am User: BARB from Brainerd, MN User Rating: This was my first attempt at making egg rolls. I wanted to serve them at a party, but didn't want to buy them at the grocery store b/c most times they are just yucky. So, I made them myself. Everyone LOVED them, and wanted the recepie! Emeril, you rock! The family flipped over these 10/05/2004 at 10:23am User: R from Lakeland, FL User Rating: Yes, they did flip, but that was after a few modifications I recommend. Firstly, be generous with the salt and pepper in filling. It needs it. When filling the wrappers, be sure to squeeze out any juice or the wrapper may get soggy. Have one person wrap as another fries in about 1/2 inch of oil. Another tip-add more honey and some type of thick stir fry sauce to the dipping sauce. The original is bland to my taste. I will make these again for sure, maybe even today. 07/27/2004 at 01:01pm User: Anonymous User Rating: This is good, but here are some tips... 07/01/2004 at 02:34am User: NICOLE from Las Vegas, NV User Rating: If deep frying, use a pan/pot with an electric thermometer--to hard to regulate temperature of oil other wise. Put more filling than one tablespoon. If you don't put enough filling, the pasta will have too many layers as you wrap it and the inner layers will not cook. Great appetizer for any party 06/16/2004 at 11:51am User: KIM from Canton, GA User Rating: These egg rolls were great. Everyone loved them with the sauce that was included in the recipe and with other sauces that I put out. They took a little bit of time to make because of the chopping and rolling but were basically easy to make. If your making egg rolls these are the ones to try. excellent 05/22/2004 at 04:17pm User: TIFFANY from Bloomington, IL User Rating: It was easy to make and tasted so good my kids want them every day. Easy enough for a 12 year old's first adventure 05/09/2004 at 01:10pm User: Anonymous User Rating: My son decided on this for the first part of the meal he would prepare. The reviews by those that ate them were raves. He pre-cooked them 2 days before and they began to disappear early. The egg rolls were good cold or re-heated. We couldn't get wonton noodles so we substituted tortillas. The result was a little more doughy, should have trimmed the tortilla. |
