A HIT! 11/23/2005 at 10:47am User: LISA from E. Bridgewater, MA User Rating: I've made this sangria 3 times now and it's always very well received. I follow it exactly, except that I mix up the fruit a bit, except for the citrus. I use what's readily available in the market. Try it, you'll love it! Very good! 08/24/2004 at 01:49am User: Anonymous User Rating: This was really easy to put together. I doubled all the liquor ingredients, it's a lot of fruit for the amount of liquor ingredients the recipe calls for. I'd suggest making it early in the day, and replace with new fruit a couple of hours before you serve. Delicious and Refreshing! 08/11/2007 at 08:39am User: Melissa from Severna Park, MD User Rating: I made this sangria for a recent beach party. It won raves from everyone who attended and, even though I had TRIPLED the recipe (it was a big party), there wasn't a drop left. Normally, I'm not a big fan of Sangria, but I really enjoyed this, as it wasn't overly sweet. The cinnamon and splash of rum added a nice layering of flavors, too. Highly recommended! Test run 08/11/2006 at 08:37pm User: KENDALL from richmond, VA User Rating: I did a test run on this recipe for a party. WOW, it was great. The only thing I would change is the amount of fruit...which I will do for my party. But, the flavor is fabulous and festlive. A big thumbs up! Nice and Easy 07/25/2007 at 12:54am User: Troy from Ozone Park, NY User Rating: I tried this recipe this weekend and it was excellent. Very easy to prepare. It didn't last past the appetizers. Perfect Sangria! 07/22/2007 at 05:32pm User: KAREN from Bradford, MA User Rating: Great summer sangria with just the right touch of sweeetness. Fantastico! 07/20/2004 at 10:55pm User: JESSICA from Madison, WI User Rating: This Sangria recipe both tastes and looks wonderful. You can easily adjust the ingredients for your own personal taste. For instance, if you like it a little less sweet you can leave out the plums. This recipe is great too because even if you don't have all the ingredients, it still tastes pretty good. I've made it exactly the way the recipe called for, but my last batch I didn't have the orange liquer, and I left out the plums. Still fantastic! The Best I've ever tasted! 07/13/2006 at 10:09pm User: Anonymous User Rating: This recipe is very easy to prepare and tastes great. A real crowd pleaser! I would recommend buying the Rioja and the spiced rum. I made it without these two key ingredients and it wasn't the same. Great for summer BBQ's and afternoon pool parties. Really good but watch the fruit 07/08/2004 at 12:19am User: Anonymous User Rating: This is a great recipe - easy to make! You can cut back on the peaches and plums - the fruit takes up to much room in the pitcher. Super Sangria 07/07/2005 at 09:25am User: Colette from Houston, TX User Rating: I made this for an outdoor party and everyone loved it, even the guys! I will definitely make this again. Its a fantastic summer drink!! excellent 07/01/2007 at 04:06pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I had never had a Sangria before so for my party I wanted something different. I didn't use the peaches but instead I added apples, blackberries, rasberries and cherries to this recipes... I let it sit all day, I made 3 pitchers and ended up making another one and letting it sit an hour before serving.. NONE LEFT.. Thanks for a great recioe will use again and again.. Refreshing 06/30/2005 at 01:32pm User: BRETTA from Fife, WA User Rating: I made this drink the other night when it was warm out. Very refreshing and yummy! Great drink for summer weather. :) sunset sangria 06/25/2004 at 01:18pm User: SCOTT from pensacola, FL User Rating: I like the smell and the color and flavors quick and impressive for a party 06/24/2007 at 01:19pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I made this for an informal cookout with friends. It took no time to put together and was absolutely delicious. I skipped the plums, as there weren't any available, and added apple instead. Don't skip the cinnamon sticks- the flavor is great! OK, but I wouldn't use this recipe again 06/18/2007 at 07:46pm User: Tom from Overland Park, KS User Rating: Over the years I've had a lot of sangria at various Spanish restaurants. This recipe results in a middle of the pack version of what I had hoped for. crowd pleaser 06/12/2005 at 04:14pm User: Niza from San Diego, CA User Rating: I made this for my cousins birthday party and it was a huge hit! I noticed in the other reviews that many people were putting the fruit in the pitcher and not adding the fruit to the goblets as the recipee says to do. I served the fruit seperately and it is definately the way to go! I only put a couple of pieces of fruit in the pitcher purely for looks, I kept the ice seperate too so that the sangria didn't get watered down. This sangria smells incredible! A perfect summer afternoon refresher. fabulous! 06/08/2006 at 06:20pm User: Anonymous User Rating: This recipe makes a killer Sangria! Yummo! 05/25/2007 at 01:26pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Loved it. Easy to prepare and all my guests loved it. tasty ... 05/04/2005 at 12:43pm User: CAROL from Brooklyn, NY User Rating: but deadly (if you drink enough and that's easy to do because it's so good). Marinating is essential for best flavor. Better if it sits 04/22/2006 at 04:14pm User: NYDIA from Columbia, SC User Rating: I tried this in the afternoon after I made it in the morning. It was O.K. However, I left it sitting until the evening of the next day and it was incredible!!! The cinnamon really makes it! Outstanding 04/12/2007 at 08:51pm User: Anonymous User Rating: The entire family enjoyed this. My only complaint was we ran out of beverage and were left with a lot of fruit. Not impressed 03/27/2007 at 10:40pm User: Jennifer from Enid, OK User Rating: I think I am a white wine gal cuz this one did nothing for me. Even sent away for a good rioja wine. I will try her white wine version. Delightful tasting sangria 01/08/2005 at 02:20pm User: DORIS from Raleigh, NC User Rating: Wonderful taste and easy to make. Does take a lot of fruit - suggest taking the cinnamon sticks out once you start drinking. The cinnamon can because overbearing as drank if not serving quickly. |
