A HIT!

I've made this sangria 3 times now and it's always very well received. I follow it exactly, except that I mix up the fruit a bit, except for the citrus. I use what's readily available in the market. Try it, you'll love it!

Very good!

This was really easy to put together. I doubled all the liquor ingredients, it's a lot of fruit for the amount of liquor ingredients the recipe calls for. I'd suggest making it early in the day, and replace with new fruit a couple of hours before you serve.

Delicious and Refreshing!

I made this sangria for a recent beach party. It won raves from everyone who attended and, even though I had TRIPLED the recipe (it was a big party), there wasn't a drop left. Normally, I'm not a big fan of Sangria, but I really enjoyed this, as it wasn't overly sweet. The cinnamon and splash of rum added a nice layering of flavors, too. Highly recommended!

Test run

I did a test run on this recipe for a party. WOW, it was great. The only thing I would change is the amount of fruit...which I will do for my party. But, the flavor is fabulous and festlive. A big thumbs up!

I tried this recipe this weekend and it was excellent. Very easy to prepare. It didn't last past the appetizers.

Fantastico!

This Sangria recipe both tastes and looks wonderful. You can easily adjust the ingredients for your own personal taste. For instance, if you like it a little less sweet you can leave out the plums. This recipe is great too because even if you don't have all the ingredients, it still tastes pretty good. I've made it exactly the way the recipe called for, but my last batch I didn't have the orange liquer, and I left out the plums. Still fantastic!

The Best I've ever tasted!

This recipe is very easy to prepare and tastes great. A real crowd pleaser! I would recommend buying the Rioja and the spiced rum. I made it without these two key ingredients and it wasn't the same. Great for summer BBQ's and afternoon pool parties.

Really good but watch the fruit

This is a great recipe - easy to make! You can cut back on the peaches and plums - the fruit takes up to much room in the pitcher.

Super Sangria

I had never had a Sangria before so for my party I wanted something different. I didn't use the peaches but instead I added apples, blackberries, rasberries and cherries to this recipes... I let it sit all day, I made 3 pitchers and ended up making another one and letting it sit an hour before serving.. NONE LEFT.. Thanks for a great recioe will use again and again..

I made this for an informal cookout with friends. It took no time to put together and was absolutely delicious. I skipped the plums, as there weren't any available, and added apple instead. Don't skip the cinnamon sticks- the flavor is great!

OK, but I wouldn't use this recipe again

Over the years I've had a lot of sangria at various Spanish restaurants. This recipe results in a middle of the pack version of what I had hoped for.

crowd pleaser

I made this for my cousins birthday party and it was a huge hit! I noticed in the other reviews that many people were putting the fruit in the pitcher and not adding the fruit to the goblets as the recipee says to do. I served the fruit seperately and it is definately the way to go! I only put a couple of pieces of fruit in the pitcher purely for looks, I kept the ice seperate too so that the sangria didn't get watered down. This sangria smells incredible! A perfect summer afternoon refresher.

fabulous!

but deadly (if you drink enough and that's easy to do because it's so good). Marinating is essential for best flavor.

Better if it sits

I tried this in the afternoon after I made it in the morning. It was O.K. However, I left it sitting until the evening of the next day and it was incredible!!! The cinnamon really makes it!

The entire family enjoyed this. My only complaint was we ran out of beverage and were left with a lot of fruit.

I think I am a white wine gal cuz this one did nothing for me. Even sent away for a good rioja wine. I will try her white wine version.

Delightful tasting sangria

Wonderful taste and easy to make. Does take a lot of fruit - suggest taking the cinnamon sticks out once you start drinking. The cinnamon can because overbearing as drank if not serving quickly.
