easy & yummy 06/30/2008 at 03:54pm User: Anonymous User Rating: This was unbelievably easy and the meat was so moist! It doesn't have much of a beer flavor. This is a great way to cook chicken just to have on hand for sandwiches or other uses without having to heat up the oven. Go Packers! 12/30/2007 at 08:45pm User: Mary from Grafton, WI User Rating: We have made this many times, especially during Packer games. Even though it can get quite cold this time of year, it's worth barbecuing this delicious chicken. Here's to the Packers winning the Super Bowl!! (Sorry Dallas) Beer Chickin and Grillin 11/24/2007 at 03:10pm User: Richard from Cary, NC User Rating: Easy and awesome with some fun mixed in too. Beer/Football Chicken 10/11/2007 at 09:21am User: Anonymous User Rating: This was easy prep. I started the grill at the start of football game and by the time the second game was going to start it was done. I used Modelo beer and rubbed rosemary inside the chicken. The chicken was VERY juicy! It gave it great flavor! I recommend this recipe to anyone who does not like to be interrupted during football! Go Cowboys! asdfsdafasd 09/02/2007 at 02:29pm User: Anonymous User Rating: WSCFSDCsc Easy and Succulent! 07/27/2007 at 09:51pm User: MICHELLE from Winston-Salem, NC User Rating: My husband said this was the juciest chicken he's ever had and my 6-year old asked if I would make it every night. I'd say those are rave reviews. Thank you to the reviewer who clarified that indirect heat should be used. I stuffed half a lemon in the neck. The only problem I had was getting the chicken to stay upright -- it seemed to want to tip because of the grate. I finally placed the grill pan we use for vegetables under the foil pan and that stabilized it well. So much fun! 07/24/2007 at 03:31pm User: Stephanie from Tulsa, OK User Rating: This was so much fun to make, but even better to eat! Drunken Chicken 07/18/2007 at 10:47pm User: Bridget from Gonzales, LA User Rating: In Louisiana, we call this drunken chicken. One thing that we do different is that we skin the chicken. This makes the flavor that you put on it go into the meat and it makes the crispy outside okay for you to eat. Most Awesome Chicken! 07/17/2007 at 09:38pm User: Kara from Holland, OH User Rating: This is the most awesome chicken! My husband and I love the flavor. We loved the chicken without the sauce. It was flavorful enough without it! The sauce is yummy if you want to add it. I would recommend it! A Keeper! 07/16/2007 at 08:58pm User: Laurie from orland park, IL User Rating: I've made this several times, just as the recipe directs, without fail. Did 2 chickens at one time -- taste test between beers, Heineken keg can definitely beats out Miller Lite. Are there any other suggestions for beer brand? I like the suggestion another review mentioned - to add a garlic clove to the beer - will try that next time. Awesome! 07/14/2007 at 01:51pm User: Darren from Douglass, KS User Rating: This was great. Follwed recipe exactly. Used my own home-made rub. As all the other reviews say, very moist and tender. Easy to do. A new favorite for our family. Just like you've heard... 02/10/2007 at 11:41pm User: Anonymous User Rating: This has to be one of, if not, the juiciest and most tender chicken that has ever emerged from my BBQ. I'm sure that you have also heard this recipe raved about by Food Network and others. It is simple to prepare and worth the wait. The chicken comes out juicy, tender, and with loads of flavor. Served up with a salad and vegetable which can be prepared while the bird is cooking and you've got a winner. So Easy 01/08/2007 at 10:28am User: Chet from Fruit Cove, FL User Rating: This is one of those meals you can put on the grill, walk away, and 1 hour 15 minutes later it's done to perfection. However, I had a party and attempted 4 chickens at the same time, needless to say, when I came back to the grill I found that was too much grease and they had caught fire. I wouldn't cook more than one at a time. Great way to make a basic chicken 09/25/2006 at 07:39pm User: Anonymous User Rating: This recipe made a crisp skinned and juicy bird. The spice rub did not add as much flavor as I would have hoped, but the flavor of meat was simple an delicious. It will make great leftovers...put into quesadillas, pasta, chicken salad, etc. YUMMY! 08/25/2006 at 11:39am User: Anonymous User Rating: Easy, FUN, and good!! As a tip; if there are other flavors & spices you like, add them in to the beer can. I added a touch of liquid smoke to the beer, and it was a nice compliment to the flavor! Best Juicy Chicken Ever 08/05/2006 at 08:21pm User: Anonymous User Rating: This was simple and absolutely great with Mesquite Chicken Seasoning. I had to leave on the grill for 2 1/2 hrs for a 5lb chicken, but it was well worth the wait. I will definately cook this in the future. good grief 07/24/2006 at 03:56pm User: Hope Nicole from Greensboro, NC User Rating: i love the tenderness of the chicken Delicious 07/10/2006 at 09:08pm User: Lori from Rising Sun, MD User Rating: Had Beer Can Chicken for the 1st time and it not only is easy to prepare it comes out the best tasting chicken I have ever had!! family favorite 07/01/2006 at 02:28pm User: TYRA from San Antonio, TX User Rating: The drippings make an excellent gravy. WOW!!! 06/05/2006 at 11:03am User: LINDA from Encinitas, CA User Rating: This was just amazing. Perfectly browned, and probably the most tender, moist, chicken I've ever tasted. We couldn't get over how perfect it was...and so easy. I was a bit skeptical about how it would manage to "stand up", but it didn't tip over, and the cover seemed to help hold it up. We set the timer for 40 minutes and went out to check it, and voila`, it was done to perfection. This is a real winner. Awesome 05/18/2006 at 09:22pm User: Michael from Yuba City, CA User Rating: Easy and tender. Chicken falls right off the bone. Although we normally have to go through several beers before someone is willing to give up half of one. Easy and gooood 05/07/2006 at 09:02pm User: TOM from South Pasadena, CA User Rating: The only problem I had was that I couldn't close the lid on my grill! Solved that easily enough...I took the cooking grate out and put the chicken upright in a cast iron pan right on the coals. Also used a can of soda due to being a dry house. Very tasty and easy chicken 02/20/2006 at 12:16pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Very economical and tasty meal. No need for expensive equipment...just an appetite. Plug the neck 12/29/2005 at 02:15am User: DONNIE from Cape Canaveral, FL User Rating: Don't forget to put a potato, onion or small apple in the neck cavity to hold the vapors inside the chicken and raise the beer can fluid for more flavor. Donnie Stanfill; Jackson, TN. sharon englewood fl 12/26/2005 at 03:22pm User: sharon from placida, FL User Rating: FANTASTIC - FAST - EASY Amazing ease with Amazing Taste 10/29/2005 at 08:11am User: Mary Jo from Fond du Lac, WI User Rating: This has got to be one of the easiest things I've ever made. Great main course to impress company with because it is so flavorful. Skin is crispy but meat is very juicy. great recipe 09/16/2005 at 12:12pm User: Robert from Jacksonville, NC User Rating: i brine the chicken first like ALton suggests with a hald cup of kosher sale and enough water to cover and leave it for 2-3 hours ( i omit the sugar because i have sugar in the rub) it's ambrosia best chicken ever 09/06/2005 at 03:59pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I followed this recipe and it is the best chicken I have ever had. Tasty and easy - what's not to love? 08/23/2005 at 02:29pm User: Anonymous User Rating: This was so easy even I liked cooking it. And juicy meat - even the breast meat - with a crispy skin that I've only seen on the BEST fried chicken. Yum! Pretty Good Chicken 08/15/2005 at 05:22pm User: Anonymous User Rating: The chicken was good. I think that rubbing spices under the skin would have made it more flavorful. It was incredibly moist though. It almost fell apart when I took it off the grill. Yummy 08/05/2005 at 03:27pm User: DIANNA from Coal Valley, IL User Rating: This was easy, yet extremely tender and delicious. High Alttitude Revision 08/04/2005 at 06:44pm User: RICHARD from Flagstaff, AZ User Rating: This was a great receipe. It was easy and came out better than I had even imagined. It was my first time trying the beer can chicken. At 7000 feet I found it necessary to let the bird go for an hour and a half before it was completly done. It is definately going to be on my list to do again and again. Sooooooooooooo Gooooooood 08/03/2005 at 09:20am User: Anonymous User Rating: It was so easy and so tasty.. everyone loved it.
