I had just bought some huge radishes because they are so good for your liver and found this recipe. I don't care for fruit salads so I omitted the apple and it was soooo good. The fresh dill really makes a huge difference. I could eat this every day! YUMMY

Surprisingly good

We received radishes in our produce box, and I don't like them, so I was looking for an easy way of preparing them. This recipe was very tasty and easy. I used fat free sour cream, because I bought it by mistake, a Pink Lady apple, because I had one on hand, and dried dill weed, because I didn't have any fresh dill. Even with those changes, the recipe turned out great.

Loved it

I never thought I liked radishes until I had this salad! It was very refreshing. I had to stop myself from eating the whole bowl. ;-)

I had made this salad for the 4th of July (2007) & I love everything that is in this salad (except for red delious apples), but when you put them all together, it was just...eh? I don't know if it was the apples that through it off or what, but I just did not like it. Sorry, Rach - I still love you!!!

Great summer side dish.

You wouldn't think this was good, but it really is. I made this dish as a side at a luncheon for some friends who are vegetarian. They loved it.

This sounded so offbeat, but seemed good to go with a German style, ended up when I served Chicken Caccitore and EVERYONE wanted more salad, actually got up and doubled the recipe. fresh. colorful, and healthy too, oh my! (I used dried dill, the only change Id make next time is use green tart tomatoes, it can take it.

Wow!

This recipe is a definite five star. Delightful and refreshing with the sweetness of the lemons and the apples. My husband won't eat sour cream so I used plain yogurt and I liked it even better. Try it! You won't be disappointed.

Came home from the grocery with luscious hugh radish's and looked for a special way to fix. Had all the go withs! My husband was surprised to find apple as I just put this in front of him to fix his own salad plate. Great with the orange chicken tenders. Love Rachael.

What a nice alternative to the usual salad. It is sweet and tangy, crunchy and soft and easy to make. I used dried dill as I didn't have fresh, but other than that I made it as directed. This is a nice cool side dish for summer. Thanks, Carole in Orlando

This recipe is very simple, easy to make with basic ingredients but delivers great flavor. It tastes very fresh and light. There is a little too much sugar for my taste so I when I made it for the second time, I only put in 1 tbsp of sugar and it was better that way. It allows the flavors of the lemon and dill to come through better. I will make it again for sure- it's my favorite salad of the moment! My husband, who is not a great fan of salads, loved it as well!

Contrasts

The contrast between the sweet apples, the sharp/spicy radishes, the cool cucumbers and the rich sour cream is just perfect. The dill is the perfect herb to offset it all. An unusual but absolutely delicious salad.

light and flavorful

I wasn't sure I wanted to try this when my husband found the recipe, but, it is fantastic! It is now one of our favorite salads in the summer.
