Excellent Hummus Recipe 10/28/2007 at 05:33pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Rachael, you're right on again. This is a traditional recipe and is easily adjusted for personal taste. More garlic, more heat, it's up to the individual. Your basic recipe is what most of my family has prepared for generations. very tasty 10/15/2004 at 03:17pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I am not too fond of humus but I changed my mind when I made this. This is sooo much better than the store bought humus. I found it to be a bit on the dry side but I added some more lemon juice and water to it and came out great. Love it! Love it! 10/15/2004 at 03:17pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I love this hummus recipe - very, very easy. I also agree that it takes just a tad more than a drizzle of oil to get the mixture to move around the processer. I have started to add fresh cilantro to mine. Fabulous! Smooth Addiction 09/10/2007 at 11:47pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Tried using blender. Pretty difficult without food processor. Double the batch because one won't be enough. Quick & Easy 06/30/2004 at 03:46pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Very few ingredients for a tasty spread (or dip). Great for entertaining or munching with veggies in front of the tube. Dissapointed 06/05/2006 at 03:56pm User: Tara from So Plainfield, NJ User Rating: As a hummus fan I was excited to try to make my own. For some reason I could not get the consistency and flavors right with this recipe. It either tasted too strong of tahini, or was of an oily consistency, etc. I threw the whole batch out and will just buy it from now on. My first Rachael recipe disaster! :( friends love it 06/05/2005 at 11:30am User: JEREMY from Lafayette, LA User Rating: I have made this dip several times and it is a winner every time. Tasty but off 01/10/2008 at 03:56pm User: Jen from West Lafayette, IN User Rating: This recipe is tasty, but if you follow it exactly you're going to have some really dry hummus.
