I had been searching for a recipe that was easy to prepare and good. This one is it! I do add much more cardamom (21 pods - I'm a cardamom freak) and ginger(about an inch). I also add a can of fat free evaporated milk instead of the cup of regular milk. The evaporated milk gives it a creamier texture. I've served this to friends who all love it.

This recipe is a great base starter. A bit of nutmeg makes it even better. Also the flavor is a bit weak so I suggest adding more spices and boiling down the water so it will probably serve 4 people not 8.

for chai tea lovers, this is a simple, easy way to enjoy it anytime. Cold or hot, it's easy on the palate (not to mention the wallet). I've enjoyed Starbuck's hot chai tea as well as the delicious chai tea concentrates sold at Trader Joe's and Costco. By far, this recipe I find superior.

Very flavorsome and easy to drink

I never liked chai tea in tea bag. But this home-made chai tea was so good that I make it almost everyday.

Great pick me up late morning or afternoon and since this isn't the packaged kind you can adjust flavours if you like and you know how much sugar is in it. Excellent!

This recipe is not as robust or as bold as I would have liked, but with a few adjustments it was perfect for my family's taste.
