Should have more detailed instructions for the sauce, it's not that easy.

I followed the recipe just as it was written, yet the end result was just a heap of goop. It seemed like it never set?

Great tasting

The results this recipe is a delicious flan. I faithfully followed the recipe and the result produced enough flan to float a "batttle ship." I will cut the recipe in half for the suggested eight servings.

Not what I expected

This simple recipe is much harder than it reads. If you cook the sugar too long it becomes hard. When I added the egg mixture to the boiling milk there was a curdled mess. I cook quite alot, and have never had results this poor before.

very easy and delicious

Use 1 cup of sugar (caramel) and 1 for the mix, use only 2 eggs, 1 can of milk, add a tea spn of cinnamon and a table spn of coffe. Put it to 400 for 40 min, let it cool and enjoy.

The flan was absolutely heavenly! It did however make way more than the desired 8 servings. Besides that I would make it again in a heart beat.

good texture

I thought the texture was perfect, but my husband thought it tasted "too eggy". I kind of think the "cage free" eggs I purchase have a stronger egg taste so perhaps that was the culprit. This makes a ton. Since my husband would not eat it, I have been feasting on this flan for a week :) probably would feed 12 people easily.

Loved it

Used 1 cup less sugar and cooked for about 35 minutes...... ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. A huge hit. Recipe made 8 custard cups & a pie tin full!

This flan taste just like the one at a restaurant I love to go just for the flan...now I don't have to go as often.

Very Easy to make - I used less sugar and it came out perfect.

good recipe...too much sugar

The recipe worked well for me. I almost doubled it to feed 22 people. My only criticism is in the amount of sugar added to the milk/egg mix. So much that you could 'feel' it on your teeth and in the aftertaste. I prefer MUCH less sugar...maybe half the recipe. I haven't tried it that way, but will the next time I make it. More of the cream and custard, less of the sweet. Great recipe overall.

Delicioso!

It is now my favorite desert to make not to mention easy! It tastes just like my moms (if not better)! I had to bake it longer than suggested. I even had enough sauce pour into a cake pan but needed to cook for about 20 minutes longer. My husband and mother in-law were wowed!

didnt work

I followed the recipe as instructed. Baked as instructed and it did not cook at all. The mixture stayed very watery. I have been searching for a good flan recipe and my search continues. This is the third one I try...and I get the same results...a running gooey "egg nog". Why doesnt it firm up????
