Tasty chicken 11/14/2004 at 04:55pm User: Anonymous User Rating: The chicken was extremely moist and perfect flavor. I did this in the oven on 300 degrees for 1hr (covered) and then 30 min (uncovered). It was great;-) FANTASTIC 10/24/2004 at 08:13pm User: MICHAEL from Savannah, GA User Rating: I had two friends to diner and did 2 chickens, fryers not roasters. We dined like royalty on the most succulent chicken you can imagine. This was beyond easy, I added about a half tbls of minced garlic to the can of beer before I stuffed it with rosemary. I also made a rub of kosher salt, tarragon and poultry seasoning. This recipe is wonderful. Mmmmm... 10/21/2004 at 03:25pm User: PATRICIA from Hemet, CA User Rating: I have seen other recipies for this type of beer chicken but the rosemary is a great touch and its a fantastic recipe with very little prep time ! Thankx Paula! The Easiest Chicken Recipe EVER : ) 10/14/2004 at 04:18pm User: THERESA from Cleveland, OH User Rating: A very versatile recipe you can cook for the family or for guests and believe me....you will not have any left overs from this. I did three 3lb chickens for a family of six and it was all gone by the end of the meal. Kudos to Paula for such a easy pleasing recipe. Great ! 10/09/2004 at 12:00pm User: MELISSA from Woodstock, GA User Rating: As always Paula's recipes are the bomb-diggidy!!!! This was tender and great favor ... I serverd it with cheese and broccoli rice corn muffins and broccoli and cheese. A hit as always :o) Good starting point 09/21/2005 at 11:51pm User: Barbara from Payson, AZ User Rating: My husband wanted to try your chicken recipe, but with a small difference. He put it in the smoker. However, he couldn't get a beer can inside our chicken, so he put the beer in the water bowl along with the rosemary. It was delicious. Guess we need to get a chicken with a bigger opening next time. Too easy to taste this good 09/20/2004 at 05:09pm User: STACEY from Port Charlotte, FL User Rating: Chicken self-basted in booze rules! I've altered this recipe a bit, using 1/4 can of chicken broth and filling the rest of the can with Marsala wine (remove paper from can first- sounds like a no brainer, but I possessed no brain one day and forgot!)for a richer flavor (beer makes it very yeasty). The hardest part is defrosting the chicken, honestly. Better than 5 Stars 09/11/2006 at 09:25am User: BARBARA from Wilmington, NC User Rating: This is best chicken. It is extremely easy to prepare and once done, so moist. I will definitely put this on my regular list of things to cook. It is good and easy to prepare for dinner guests as well. My guests thoroughly enjoyed it. hey 09/10/2006 at 11:35am User: missy from holly hill, FL User Rating: its very good paula Best drunk chicken I ever tasted 09/09/2007 at 11:40pm User: Robin from Newton, MS User Rating: tender and tasty the right amount of spice and flavor. This was super easy and delicious made great leftovers. Great we've shared it with family and friends 07/20/2004 at 10:23am User: JOSEPH from Utica, MI User Rating: I saw it on Paula's show and thought what a great and easy way to grill chicken so we tried it that night and thought it was mosit and delicious the bacon warped corn on the cob was good as well. Juicy! 07/11/2004 at 02:41pm User: JAIME from Valdosta, GA User Rating: This chicken is so Juicy. I do not have a charcoal grill so I cooked it in the oven on top of a 16oz beer can. The skin was salty and crispy and the meat was juicy and tender. My family loved it! I will make this again! DRUNKEN CHICKEN 07/10/2004 at 05:08am User: CAROLYN from TOMS RIVER, NJ User Rating: VERY GOOD. A LITTLE TOO SALTY, WOULD NOT PUT TOO MUCH SALT NEXT TIME. A LITTLE HARD TO REMOVE THE BEER CAN. THE CHICKEN WAS VERY MOIST. It's a winner!! 07/08/2004 at 09:27pm User: JOSEPH from Fort Lauderdale, FL User Rating: The most difficult part of this meal is trying to balance the chicken on the grill! =) (Hint: don't drink too much of the beer BEFORE attempting this balancing act!) It's a winner in our family. Super moist white meat, fabulous flavors throughout the whole chicken. Top all that with the ease of preparation and we've got a weekend favorite, rain or shine! The Best Chicken Ever 07/07/2005 at 11:32pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I tried this receipe for my Thanksgiving dinner last year and I loved it. My family really loved it too. The chicken is so juicy and tender it is to die for. This is the best chicken ever. It's simply YUMMY!! 07/06/2005 at 03:27pm User: STACEY from Andrews, TX User Rating: This was the absolute BEST recipe to make a whole chicken. I ususally just buy chicken by the pieces, breasts, legs, thighs and wings. I made this one evening on the gas grill and it was DELICIOUS!!!! Thanks Paula! A 4th of July hit! 07/05/2004 at 04:02pm User: Anonymous User Rating: Everyone laughed when I put the chickens on the grill, but the jokes about the "dancing chickens" ended when it came time to eat. An outstanding recipe, and lots of fun. Rub was too salty 07/04/2007 at 11:10am User: Janet from Deer Park, TX User Rating: We didn't really enjoy this too much. It was easy enough but the rub was a little too salty. It wasn't that much better than a rotisserie chicken you'd get at the grocery store. Fabulous! 06/28/2004 at 10:30am User: ANNE from Canton, MA User Rating: This was the tastiest chicken I've ever made. The meat was cooked perfectly, even the thighs and legs. Be careful with the salt mixture or it could be too salty; but what flavor! Some of the best chicken ever 06/27/2004 at 12:40am User: CINDY from Amherst, NH User Rating: Easy to prepare and so moist, you can't help but love this recipe. I would suggest a light beer however. We tried a dark, heavy one once and the results were disappointing. The heavy beer overpowered the delicate chicken flavor. Other than that, this was just amazing. Who comes up with this stuff? superb 06/26/2004 at 04:15pm User: MARLENE from boynton beach, FL User Rating: moist and juicy so excellent Drunken Chicken 06/22/2004 at 08:51pm User: NADINE from Santa Rosa, CA User Rating: This is one awesome bird. Another great Paula recipe!!!! 06/21/2004 at 04:08pm User: DEBORAH from Jacksonville, FL User Rating: I am never disappointed with her recipes. This chicken was so moist and easy to make. I used Old Bay seasoning to season the chicken instead of house and seasoned salt. It was delicious! I made two chickens. One with beer and rosemary and one with coke and parsley. They were both wonderful! great bird! 06/15/2004 at 12:11pm User: SHAWN from va beach, VA User Rating: I used this recipe on 2 small birds- one w/ rosemary and beer the other with applejuice (in a beer can) and sage. We couldn't begin to decide which was better! And the leftover made the tastiest chicken salad! Darlene Lane Awesome and easy ! 06/07/2004 at 01:50pm User: TOM from Charlotte, NC User Rating: They don't get any easier than this. The chicken is absolutely wonderful. It's a great way to use up some of that rosemary ! I use a gas grill, indirect heat. It works fine. Also have used the oven. No problem. You can make it even easier with the racks they sell at Bed Bath and Beyond that hold the beer can. Nice ! I make two at a time. One for tonight and one for tomorrow. To die for!!! 06/06/2004 at 10:25pm User: KRISTAL from Fontana, CA User Rating: We thought this looked like a fun receipe so we tried it and oh my gosh... this was great.. everyone should try this at their next bbq. Tasty And Easy 05/29/2006 at 10:56am User: DENNIS from Northport, FL User Rating: Chicken comes out very moist, although I could not discern any taste elements from the beer. Tried in with cherry cola and found much more flavoring from the soda in the chicken and very moist! One Question 05/24/2007 at 12:57am User: Anonymous User Rating: How would you go about doing this recipe on a gas grill? So Moist! 05/21/2007 at 12:40pm User: Leah from Meridian, ID User Rating: I've had a fear of cooking whole chickens for many years now. I got over my fear and gave this recipe a shot. It came out fabulously! It was so moist. I used the leftover chicken for salads! rosiescooking 05/02/2007 at 10:57am User: rosie from katy, TX User Rating: rosiescooking Simple, flavorful and fast.... 04/26/2005 at 04:34pm User: MICHAEL from glendale, CA User Rating: This is a direct hit with chicken. I have made this many times and have also used minced garlic with the rosemarie inside the beer. Target sells an upright chicken holder gadget to use instead of the beer can. It still holds the important beer and is easier to clean than burnt chicken juices in your bar bq. It is located in the outdoor section of Target and might be a consideration. irma, sreview 04/23/2008 at 06:08pm User: irma from kenner, LA User Rating: this chicken was very good, but not spicy DRUNKEN CHICKEN 04/15/2007 at 07:43pm User: MELODY from Forest City, NC User Rating: CHICKEN ON A BEER CAN YUMMMMY WOOEEE 04/12/2005 at 11:35pm User: Anonymous User Rating: this was really good chicken nice and moist and that beer was sooo tastey! Very Good 04/07/2007 at 04:47pm User: Anonymous User Rating: This was very good and an excellent alternative for something different to put on the grill when same old stuff starts losing it's thrill. Tender, Aromatic, Yummy Bird 03/31/2007 at 09:18pm User: Susan from dunwoody, GA User Rating: This is a fun, super easy recipe that worked flawlessly. It turned out looking as golden delicious as shown in the photo. I didn't have a charcoal grill large enough and didn't want to do it with propane so chose to cook in the oven. I began at 375, then 325 and finished at 300 for a total time of 75 minutes (2 birds at 3.5 lbs each). This was another winner! Thanks Paula. Out of this world! 03/24/2006 at 07:23pm User: JESSICA from Clarks Summit, PA User Rating: This is the most delicious chicken I've ever eaten! It's so easy, too, and while it's cooking (I did mine in the oven on 400 degrees) your mouth will water from the aroma it gives off! I have told everyone I know to try this and they all rave about it. Paula, you rock! Amazing!!!! 03/13/2007 at 01:48pm User: Simonetta from Greenlawn, NY User Rating: Always looking for a quick, easy and DELICIOUS roasted chicken recipe, and I have found it!! The beer keeps the chicken moist and tender. Cooked the chicken in oven at 400 degrees for over an hour. Only problem I had was the chicken toppled over once most of the beer evaporated out of the can. Try to prop up the chicken first with skewers or something before cooking, so this doesn't happen to you! A definite repeat in my house!!! Paula is the best 03/08/2005 at 03:06pm User: KENDRA from Spring Valley, OH User Rating: In one word WOW!!!!!! Will NEVER BBQ chicken any other way! 03/03/2005 at 04:10pm User: LISA from Mooresville, NC User Rating: This recipe made BY FAR the tastiest, juiciest, most tender chicken I have EVER had!!! I will NEVER go back to the same `ol barbeque chicken EVER again!!! Kudos to you Paula girl!! Very satisfied 03/03/2005 at 04:44am User: STEPHANIE from Mill Creek, WA User Rating: I was very satisfied with the way my chicken turned out, considering it was cooked in the oven instead. The color wasn't golden brown throughout the whole chicken like the way Paula cooked her's on the charcoal grill, but overall the chicken was moist. Thanks! southern girl good !!!!!!!!!!!!! 02/27/2007 at 07:09pm User: theresa from orange park, FL User Rating: I've actually made this before but never rated it.
