Only my opinion... 07/11/2008 at 04:24pm User: Richard from San Francisco, CA User Rating: I find it difficult to ruin a perfectly good piece of corn by drenching it in saturated fatty bacon!!! Again... just my opinion... it might taste good, but not be good for you! :) Different method 06/11/2008 at 08:52pm User: Chris from Rochester, NY User Rating: Pretty good recipe if you are already grilling. The corn didn't need butter or salt when done. I enjoyed it, but there are easy and cleaner ways to have corn on the cob grilled corn 08/28/2007 at 08:10pm User: Anonymous User Rating: An easy and tasty receipt that can be used as is or modified with other ingredients. Sizzl'in Hot Texas Summer 08/05/2006 at 08:18pm User: Anonymous User Rating: The bacon added a great and unexpected flavor, I was sceptical at first, thinking that the bacon would make the corn greasy. This was not the case, just great bacon flavor. I added my favorite seasonings before I wrapped the corn with bacon. Great taste 07/30/2006 at 08:31am User: Ana from Miami, FL User Rating: The bacon certainly does a number on the corn, it gives more flavor to it. DELICIOUS! BACON!!!!!!! 06/25/2006 at 06:06pm User: Anonymous User Rating: GREEEEEEEEEEEEESY!!!!!!! Memorial Day twist 05/31/2006 at 12:58pm User: Pamla from Memphis, TN User Rating: I tried this for the first time. It maybe in the style of bacon you choose so I won't degrade the recipe when it could have very well been my bacon choice. I will try it again but this time, I will use a better bacon and possibly make some flavored butters. Great 03/14/2006 at 09:30pm User: Kim from Oklahoma City, OK User Rating: I love your show and recipes all recipe reviewed 01/31/2006 at 07:24pm User: Re"Nee from Far Rockaway, NY User Rating: every Recipe i have made has been nothing but great reviews. everyone a 5 star from paula dean. Easy Corn 09/05/2005 at 03:23pm User: Sharon from Greeley, CO User Rating: This corn was easy, easy, easy. The flavor from the bacon was delicious, and a nice replacement for butter. Very Tastey 07/17/2005 at 10:22pm User: Kira from New Kensington, PA User Rating: The corn was very good. I love corn on the cob, and this is a great new way to have it! I wouldn't make it this way all the time, but it is a great change! Perfect "hint" of Bacon flavor! 07/13/2005 at 01:17pm User: Angela from Reno, NV User Rating: I was skeptical about this one at first, because I prefer my corn grilled plain with no additives such as butter, etc. But with my fiance and friends' tastebuds in mind, I decided to try this recipe for a bit of flavor. It was GREAT! I couldn't get enough of it! It was perfectly juicy and flavored just right: it wasn't overwhelmingly- flavored with bacon. The only problem I had was the cooking time: After soaking the corn in water for 30 minutes, we had to grill the corn for over an hour (the recipe states to cook on grill for 20 minutes). (Maybe our grill wasn't hot enough...???) Aside from that, we loved it and will be cooking this recipe often! Summer Corn on the Cob 07/11/2005 at 10:28pm User: R from Hemet, CA User Rating: It seems simple - but a strip of bacon don't really make something outstanding... You should use my recipe of the best grilled corn in California!!! It does include butter, but no nitrates! Bacon Wrapped Corn On The Cob 06/19/2005 at 09:09am User: KEVIN from Wentzville, MO User Rating: This was greeat. A little work but well worth it. I highly recommend. Yum! 06/11/2005 at 03:51pm User: Barbara from Portsmouth, VA User Rating: Bacon wrapped over sweet white corn is so delicious, you don't need to put anything on it. The bacon grease flavors the corn even more, so no need for butter. I will definitly make this again!! AWESOME!! 05/10/2005 at 01:40pm User: TAMMY from Bedford, VA User Rating: I tried this recipe using a charcoal grill and it was so delicious. My family loves it. Boring 04/08/2005 at 04:13pm User: Rebekah from Concord, NH User Rating: The bacon never got crispy and it's kinda just.. boring.. I took the nasty bacon off and threw it in the frying pan until brown, and crumbled it over my dog's food. She enjoyed it! Definately won't be making this side again. Oh well. m-m-m good eatin' 03/11/2005 at 03:11pm User: DEBORAH from thousand palms, CA User Rating: just fantastic... paula has the best ideas and recipes...like mine but better and more convenient...just love her ideas and recipes and tastings!! Everyone agreed that the flavor was outstanding without any added butter, salt or pepper. Deeeelicious! Yummy, Yummy, Yummy! 08/10/2004 at 06:05pm User: MELISSA from Hornell, NY User Rating: I saw this episode and tried making the corn myself. Oh my goodness was it superb! good good corn on the cob 07/25/2004 at 01:15am User: ANDREA from Arbuckle, CA User Rating: It gave a good bacon flavor to the corn. Great for the 4th of July or anytime 07/16/2004 at 08:29pm User: CINDY from Lamar, CO User Rating: I have always be a little leary of grilling corn, afraid the husks would catch on fire (which has happened to me) or the corn undercooked or overcooked, however, this was wonderful. Very easy and fun to do. The smell of the bacon cooking along with the smell of the corn mmmmm. We used field corn, which we had had some the day before and it was alittle on the hard side. Grilled it was very very tender and juciy, really did not need to add much butter or salt, because of the bacon grease. This has now become our favorite way to have corn on the cob. Thanks Yum Yum 06/12/2004 at 04:35pm User: Anonymous User Rating: What's not to like. Bacon adds lots of flavor - never thought of it before. |
