Delicious, but... 12/02/2007 at 07:27pm User: R from Fairfax, VA User Rating: AB, what universe do you live in? I had to MAKE garlic shrimp before I could do this recipe. (I asked my husband to taste the shrimp, and almost had to start all over again!) I also actually liked it better without the cream, for those who like to experiment with the already excellent. just okay 12/01/2004 at 10:36pm User: TONY from St. Louis, MO User Rating: I made this and it turned out just okay. I'm not sure if I did something wrong, but I think I followed the directions. The final result was a bit dry and just not very flavorful. I don't think I'll try this one again. What's missing here? 11/04/2006 at 12:09pm User: Anonymous User Rating: I would have loved to make this recipe. However, one of the ingredients was '2 pints leftover garlic shrimp' but there was no recipe or link for that item. Knocked our socks off 11/04/2005 at 03:25pm User: Cindy from Concord, NC User Rating: Our 15 year old daughter has taken up the gauntlet and makes dinner several evenings a week so that my husband and I can come home to a hot meal waiting for us when we get home from work. She wants to attend Le Cordon Bleu after graduation and we are her official food critics. This casserole was without a doubt one of the best surprises yet! GREAT flavor and texture and amazingly easy too. This one is a real keeper! Garlic Shrimp Casserole= YUMMY!!! 10/11/2004 at 05:48pm User: Anonymous User Rating: This was amazing. I didn't have left over shrimp so I simply fried shrimp with garlic, butter, and parsley. I highly recommend this!! casserole review 09/28/2005 at 09:58pm User: MELINDA from Eaton Rapids, MI User Rating: This recipe is excellant, and easy to make. I've made it several times, and everyone I served it too loved it! Garlic Shrimp 09/07/2005 at 02:56pm User: Anonymous User Rating: This is a silly recipe. It doesn't say how to make the garlic shrimp, just how to add it to make a garlic shrimp cassarole. Very diverse recipe 09/02/2006 at 01:42pm User: ALEXANDRA from junction city, KS User Rating: I have made the casserole but used buffalo chicken bites instead of the garlic shrimp. It was very easy, very tasty and my whole family enjoyed it. As a matter of fact, i have 3 more casseroles in the oven right now to use up leftovers. one casserole with Pineapple Chicken, one with leftover steak and mushrooms and one with tacomeat. I used leftover Jasmine rice and added the sauce (made with beef broth for the beefy casseroles.) I can only recommend that recipe and encourage people to play around with the ingredients. to our "silly" reviewer 07/11/2006 at 03:56pm User: Anonymous User Rating: The recipe doesn't say how to make the garlic shrimp because you are using 2 "pints leftover" garlic shrimp" as in leftover chinese takeout. Duh, silly. Reviewers, please don't rate the recipe unless you have actually made or tried it. That is quite unfair. Alton Keeps It Simple, Yet Tasty 04/04/2008 at 02:12pm User: Sheryl from Erie, KS User Rating: While trying to use more American Shrimp in my cooking, I came across this recipe courtesy of Alton Brown. I liked it for four basic reasons: ingredient availability, ease of preparation, taste and visual appeal. The finished casserole was tasty and very visually appealing. I will use this recipe again for family meals, family/friends gatherings or parties. HELP 04/03/2008 at 07:32pm User: ellen from hallandale, FL User Rating: do i need to cook this only in a terra cotta pot or can i use a plain casserole dish It's a KEEPER 02/14/2008 at 11:55am User: JUDY from Garden Valley, ID User Rating: This recipe is one of the best! Easy and fast to prepare. I used leftover shrimp scampi. It is also a recipe that can be used for many different leftovers. Plan ahead! |
