Yummy, even if you don't like brussel sprouts... 10/23/2004 at 01:00pm User: CINDY from Amherst, NH User Rating: So the brussel sprouts I purchased weren't the best...a little bitter even before cooking them, AND I cooked them a few minutes too long as the were a little too black on the outside, but this recipe is still a winner. They were pretty darned good and I don't like brussel sprouts all that much. I'm giving it a 5 because I can't fault Ina for user error!! I would cook them only 35 minutes for average sprouts and try to find some fresh, young ones for optimal flavor. I'm even going to serve these for Thanksgiving this year!! Shake the pan a few times while cooking as the recipe states. VERY easy! Brussel sprouts 10/13/2004 at 10:17am User: ANN from creedmoor, NC User Rating: I enjoyed the baked brussel sprouts. My daughters, who have only recently been willing to try new flavors, enjoyed them, too. Much better than boiled sprouts you may have had growing up. They did take about 40 min. Next time I'll start them first so they'll be ready when everything else is. Good way to cook.... 05/16/2007 at 11:55am User: Jill from ft. hood, TX User Rating: I have been looking for a way to make brussel sprouts so that they aren't soggy and tasteless and this is it. They came out just perfect and we roasted all of our veggies with the sprouts and it worked for all of them. I will never boil or steam again. Roasting just brings out the flavor of your vegetables. Easy - just watch 'em 03/19/2006 at 06:57pm User: Robert from Morgantown, WV User Rating: This was easy and very tasty as advertised. Do watch the sprouts at the end of the cook time so as not to burn them. I burned mine slightly, but they still were quite excellent. The comparison to french fries is accurate. We liked these a lot.
