We lost my grandmother's recipes in the storm but this was an almost identical substitute. My grandma use to grow mirlitons on the fence back home and had it every year. This will be our new recipe!!! Perfect for Thanksgiving 11/25/2006 at 04:07pm User: KATHLEEN from Metairie, LA User Rating: I made this for Thanksgiving and my family loved it. It took a long time to cook down the mirliton liquid, so allow for more time to be devoted to this dish. Next time, I'll skip the cheese on top and add a breadcrumb/garlic/parm cheese mixture instead. Excellent! Easy to make 11/25/2005 at 02:19am User: Troy from Destrehan, LA User Rating: Very good Close to Home 11/17/2006 at 09:01pm User: Lori from Belle Chasse, LA User Rating: This is a personal favorite of mine.
