This is not a recipe for the faint of heart. It was so flavorful and warming it was the perfect winter dish. My father's only complaint was that there was no actual curry powder in it.

Delicious!!!

This was my first attempt at Indian cooking, and I'm so thrilled with the result. I skipped the sugar, and found the result delicious and plenty sweet! Took a while to prepare, but it was well worth it.

full of flavor!

Before this recipe, I thought I hated curry. it was so flavorful. i swapped out sweet potato for white, and sometimes i omit the potato and add broccoli. sooo good!

Sorry, Wolfgang, this is the first recipe of yours that have made that I didn't like. Didn't like the potatoes in the dish.

We thought this dish was too sweet, even after halving the sugar. The potatoes also took forever to cook, despite being cut in tiny pieces. I cooked it for twice as long as recommended, and they still weren't tender (maybe because of the tomatoes?). For anyone still willing to brave the recipe, cook the potatoes separately, and add at the end.

Very good recipe

I have made this recipe several times and I truly enjoy it. In my experience, the prep time is over 1 hour. However, the recommended portions make for approximately 10-12 servings so the additional time is well worth it as I can freeze the leftovers.
