This was a tasty appetizer. I did cook the onions longer to allow them more time to carmelize. Next time, I will slice smaller pieces of red onion (larger ones are difficult to eat) and make on bite-sized slices of bread.

My husbamd doesn't like onions but he loved this recipe! Very tasty!
