excellant 09/26/2004 at 11:02am User: JULIE from Cape Girardeau, MO User Rating: This salad is wonderful. I substitued pineapple instead of papaya or mango. I also added red seedless grapes and about 3 tablespoons of orange juice. The Grand Marnier and mint give it that zing that my guests loved. Great fruit salad 08/26/2007 at 12:39am User: Danielle from Drexel Hill, PA User Rating: Delicious. I didn't bother with the grand marnier because it is too expensive to buy for 1 tablespoon. A great dish for any get together. wow 08/20/2006 at 10:47pm User: Kaitlyn from Wilmington, IL User Rating: it tasted so sweet and wonderful A Tropical Vacation 07/22/2007 at 02:04pm User: Anonymous User Rating: The honey and mint added a nice background flavor. Really like the mix of fruits. I like this salad most for its not using watermellon. Too many fruit salads seem to be mostly watermellon with a few other garnishes. tasty and nice presentation 06/25/2007 at 02:04pm User: Chandra from Somerset, NJ User Rating: very easy to make. light. perfect summer dish. i made this for my sister's baby shower and everyone loved it. Fabulous Fruit Salad 06/02/2004 at 10:59pm User: SUZANNE from Akron, OH User Rating: The contrasting textures of fruit and the addition of refreshing mint livens up what can be an all too predictable dish. My three year old loves this and so do I. Great salad! 05/23/2007 at 09:38am User: KIMBERLY from Abbeville, SC User Rating: I made this salad as part of the mother's day brunch I made for my mom. Everyone loved this salad. I made half with the Grand Marnier and half without. Both were good, but the Grand Marnier definitely adds a little hint of grown up flavor that we enjoyed. The prep work was tedious, but definitely worth it. Because of my time constraints the salad had to sit for more than the recommended 2 hours before it was served. It was still very good, but it would have been a little prettier and a little drier if it had sat for an hour or so. I will make this salad again! Wonderful! 05/13/2007 at 09:50pm User: Kristin from Orchard Park, NY User Rating: Quite possibly the best fruit salad I've ever had! One change I made was using Grand Marnier...after visiting the liquor store and finding how much even the smallest bottle was (tiny bottle for $20. Large bottle $69), I substituted Triple Sec ($6 per bottle). Since you only need 1 Tbsp anyway, it probably was not a big deal. I suppose if you had Grand Marnier lying around the house, it would be great, but the Triple Sec worked well. This is a delicious, light recipe. I'll be making it all summer! g 05/07/2007 at 05:30pm User: Anonymous User Rating: g delicious &m minty 05/06/2007 at 11:57am User: junelly from greenacres, FL User Rating: tis salad is so wonderful it has a minty hint to it and all the friuts combiend is delicious the kiwi was a kick to it is outstanding |
