This dish really makes me look like I know what I'm doing! (LOL!) I'm definitely no cook, but my husband thinks I really know what I'm doing now. :)

I bought halibut on a whim and came here looking for a recipe. Wow. I'll even say it backwards: wow. This was quick and just a lovely blending of flavors.

This has to be one of my favorite recipies. I made this for a dinner party (used Cod instead of Halibut), and boy was this good. Nothing bland about this fish dish - excellent flavor throughout. The wine sauce was great. Comes together in well under 30 minutes - perfect for company.

So Good!!

This recipe is great. While easy enough to cook on a weeknight after work it looks and tastes like something you would get at a restaraunt. I love this recipe.

This was as good as any fish I've ever ordered at a restaurant. I used apple juice instead of white wine. My husband and I loved it!!

This was the best fish recipe that I have ever made! It was super fast and tasted like something from a 5 star restaurant (at a not so 5 star price). My grocery store didn't carry grouper this week so I subbed with Kingklip and that was so delicious! I will make this again and again as I am sure it would impress the inlaws! Bravo Rachael!!!

I rarely eat (and, have never prepared) fish - but, the show made the recipe look simple and delicious. I used cod instead, what a wonderful dish. I plan to make it again next week.

Excellent Light Fish Dish

This was very good. The flavors of the wine, shallot, tomatoes, lemon and fresh basil compliment each other nicely. My grocery store didn't have halibut tonight so I bought talapia and cut down the cooking time due to the thinness of the talapia filets. So I had a gourmet fish entree ready to put on the table in less than 10 minutes. I'd recommend a nonstick skillet for cooking the fish.

Fabulous and so easy!

This is a great weeknight dish and I would say even classy enough for a dinner party. It takes abotu 15 minutes to make, so if you are in a hurry, this is the dish for you!

It was O.K.

Baker's Surprise

User: Michelle from Burlington, CT    User Rating:
This recipe was fantastic! Being the resident baker in the family, it's not often that I try my skills at an actual full dinner menu. However, a couple nights ago I decided to try this poached fish dish. I always have a problem cooking fish, I'm never sure I've cooked it enough and as a result usually end up over-cooking. I followed Rachel's recipe to the "T" (except that I substituted cod for the halibut) and was rewarded with a perfectly cooked and seasoned "30-Minute Meal" that my family enjoyed. Everyone was amazed that the "baker" had turned out such a wonderful dinner (I should mention that my previous attempts at the cook top have not exactly been successful). I owe it all to Rachel! Definitely try this recipe. Not only is it quite tasty, not to mention healthy, it is also so easy a baker could make it!

Delicate and Elegant

This dish looked elegant and tasted delicious. The tomato/basil topping was a punchy, but not overpowering accent to the delicate fish, and the white wine with the shallots and garlic made a wonderful sauce. Another winner.
