Easy to impress with something so easy to make! Would never have thought of marinating crackers but these really work--were not soggy at all. It suggests to marinate at least 24 hours--flavored oil then infuses the crackers instead of just lying on top. They were even better the following day!

User: RICH from Mattoon, IL    User Rating:
These crackers were a big hit with all of our neighbors and family. Instead of doing cookies for the holidays last year, we put the crackers in the holiday tins. It was something different and everyone asked us for the recipe. It went over great and was super easy compared to baking cookies! My only complaint would be that the crackers remain a little too greasy from the oil.

This was very good and easy. I took a different step with it on 2nd time around. I put everything in a brown paper bag (like from grocery). Left on counter and everytime I went by it I shook the bag. It coated the crackers, but the bag absorbed the excess oil.

I questioned all the oil in the mixture, causing the crackers to get soggy. Found that they did not get the least bit soggy and my husband raved about them. Had them for Thanksgiving snacks and needless to day they were gone by the end of the day. Keep up the good work!

User: Brenda from Mechanicsville, VA    User Rating:
This recipe was a big hit at our "pre-Thanksgiving" dinner this past weekend. I did put them in a brown bag to store them in for the 24 hour period because they are very greasy. The bag took care of that and they were wonderful. Make extra because they will go quick.

It was a good snack but I think next time I will use half of the oil called for in the recipe because it was still quite oily after 24 hours.

User: april from Milton, FL    User Rating:
I was a little concerned after taking the bits out of the refridgerator. They looked awfully oily at first, but after spreading them out on top of a few paper towels they began to take shape. I made them for an open house at a local store and although our breath was kicken', everyone asked who made this and where did you get the recipe from! I should have printed up copies!! I can't believe something so easy earned so much praise. My praise goes to you! Thanks for making me look so good! Sincerely, April Weaver Milton, FL

User: VICKI from Franklin, MA    User Rating:
I wanted to make these but did not start 24 hours ahead. I made them as the recipe stated and let them sit in the frig for 6 hours. When I took them out of the frig and left them on the counter to get to room temp. they were very greasy- I put them in the oven for a few minutes and the seasoning baked right in! Other commenters mentioned that they were greasy for them also so if this happens to you, just pop them in the oven for a few minutes.

User: Rhonda from Boonville, NY    User Rating:
Fixed these for a 'race night' party and everyone was raving about them. They are addictive! The men in the crowd said I had to make a batch for hunting camp this fall. This is so easy to fix, and the response was fantastic. My husband told me to make sure we always have a box or two of the cheese crackers in the pantry, so I can fix these anytime. I may add a little cayanne to the batch that goes to camp.

Made these for a potluck and they got rave reviews. Omitted the dill since I had none and added a couple of shakes of italian seasoning. Make sure you really shake and stir the mixture several times while it is in the fridge. Very good. Locally people around my midwest area also do a similar treatment to oyster crackers.

I made the recipe....tasted them...my personal opinion... they were ok for snacking...I did change the recipe by adding italian seasoning mix instead of the ranch dressing seasoning mix...maybe I will try the ranch if I do this recipe again...however...I was not that impressed with this one...perhaps the dressing package was dated...the flavor was lacking in my recipe....

I changed this recipe to use butter instead of cooking oil, and then I baked the cracker bits on a jelly roll sheet at a very low temp until they were dried out. The flavor was great but I wish I'd cut back on the celery salt.

These are fantastic. Adults and kids eat them up every single time I make them. They are easy to prepare, have just the right amount of seasonings and "zing" and make for perfect party food. Great!
