The mayo over-powered the flavor of the dip and the onion was over whelming. The dip was so thick and strong that we waited until the next day to have it and mixed 1 or 2 tablespoons of the hardened onion concentrate into 1/2 cup of sour cream to thin out the texture anad the flavor.

It was very good, but I think next time I'll use less mayo and more sour cream. It's good with crunchy potato chips. It makes a very big batch.

This was very good, but time consuming so you might think to make it ahead. The flavors have it all beat over dry onion soup mix. Worth the effort for company.

I made this recipe for a party, and everyone raved - they were putting on veggies as well as the potato chips that I brought. It was pretty easy, albeit a bit time-consuming, because of the roasting and cooling fo the onions. I used low fat mayo and sour cream, and no one even noticed.

I never cared for the dried onion soup dip...but this one is a winner. Have made it twice and plan on again for the Super Bowl party. I used low/FF ingred. the 2nd time and it was still excellent! thank you Sara! Leslie Tillamook
