The thought of frosting on angel food cake

is bad enough. My sister in law made this for our family holiday celebration. It was heavy and dry and overpowered by frosting. The exact opposite of what angel food should be. Light and airy and deilicately sweetened.

AMAZING

I loved the effect the coconut gave it. I dyed mine light green with food coloring to make it look even more like a wreath. Made a great centerpiece and tasted good too :) For my guests that liked coconut anyway!

Looked like a wreath!

my mom was so excited when she saw this cake initially. She said it was pretty and looked delicious. Well, all that went out the window when she cut into it. She then took her first bite and had a strange look on her face. Mom asked me, "Why on earth would you frost an angel food cake?" Mom does indeed know best!

This cake came out so pretty

This tasted and looked so bad that my mother made me promise to never "assemble" another Sandra Lee creation. I think this one and that Kwanzaa cake mess came from a 5th graders craft class. A joke!

Ever heard of Bagatha and Banilda the human equivalents to "my life is a train wreck?" This was the cutest cake ever and everyone I served it to enjoyed it. Save you stupid comments for nurse who brings you breakfast in your padded room.

This looked so pretty - but I agree with others, angel food cake is not the best for this. Try a good white cake, or carrot cake & decorate for Halloween. You can do a lot with this idea.
