i had an extra tuna steak so i scaled this down and made two burgers...it was excellent! juicy and flavorful, love the mushrooms too. i didnt end up using any garnish like the mustard and chutney, there was enough flavor without it.

My husband fishes and caught some albacore tuna. After collecting all the ingredents I made up the burgers and froze them. Cooked them last night and they were really wonderful. I would definitly make this again. Would like to try it with fresh tuna but they did freeze perfectly. I also did the red onion and salad all came out great!!!!!!!!!!!!

These were very good and very creative, but I think I prefer just plain seared tuna. I'm still giving it a very high rating because it was very delish and it was very pretty. The 2 condiments she recommended were good. Chutney=yummy.

Sooooo good!

These were great and I am not a fan of much fish. My fiance was a bit disappointed when he found out we were having them, but he changed his mind after the first bite. Big flavor. Really great. Rachael is the best.

This was, without a doubt, the most flavorful tuna meal I've ever had! Anything that is quick and easy to make, and moderately healthy without sacrificing taste gets 5 Stars in my book. Being "in a hurry" (HUNGRY! and, okay, maybe a little lazy, too!), I coarsely chopped the garlic and red pepper, and threw everything into the food processor to blend the "burger" meat - they came out beautifully. I'll definitely make these again!

Just Delicious

I made these for dinner tonight, along with the Crispy Noodle Salad. Very tasty. I thought the burgers were a little thick, so next time I think I'll make 4 ounce patties, rather than 6 ounce patties. The mango chutney was a perfect compliment to the tuna and mustard. I'll make this again soon.

If you are looking for a alternative to the beef burger, this is the recipe for you!! These are extremely tasty, cook quickly and easy to make. I have tried a few minor modifications to the recipe and they come out perfect every time. Even my husband likes them.

Try with beef

Tuna was quite expensive for this dish. Try it with beef.

Quite pricey for burgers. This is sushi grade tuna we are talking about. Not exactly easy on the wallet.

what a waste

User: kate from woodland hills, CA    User Rating:
while the flavors could potentially work well together, what a waste of ingredients! really, if you have a good tuna steak, there are much better ways to prepare it and enjoy the full flavor of the dish. and in way under 30 minutes too. she was, as usual, way off point with this recipe.

Used this for Lettuce Bundles

I made this with ground turkey and, instead of making burgers, sauteed all ingredients. Used the filling in WW pitas (for kids) and in lettuce leaves (for adults). Excellent flavor, reminded me of PF Chang's lettuce wraps. Will definitely make again.

Good recipe

This was my first time making tuna burgers and I'd make them again. I left out the mango chutney and mushrooms, but next time I would use them - I think it needed some sort of topping to counter the strong ginger, garlic, and onion flavors in the burger.

YUMMO!

Wow. These were absolutely fantastic. I've never had a tuna burger before... in fact, I wasn't even aware that I could make these. I haven't been cooking for very long and mine actually came out looking just like the ones Rachael made on 30 Minute Meals. I was so proud of myself and everyone LOVED them! Thanks for the recipe, Rachael!

This burger is super tasty and easy to make. My husband and I have been trying to eat out less since the birth of our son, and this kind of recipe makes it so that we don't miss going out at all!

Why would anyone take fresh tuna steaks and blend them in the food processor? Thats a disgrace to the fish.

Worth Every Penny!

We have two picky teens and so my husband and I made this together when the kids where gone for the weekend. My husband said they were the best burgers he ever had and I have to agree. Although the tuna was somewhat expensive, it was worth every penny. The only down side is I thought the prep time took too long. This is a keeper.

yummy and filling

I used marinated tuna steaks and left out a few of the ingredients. Just cubed the tuna and added some panko breads crumbs and an egg to hold it together. It was very yummy and filling. I think next time I will leave off the bun so I can enjoy the tuna. I was too full to finish it.

tasted great, but seems a waste

Although it is painfull to witness a fresh tuna steak in the food processor, it makes for a mighty tasty burger! Note: Careful not to add too much ginger root. Unlike garlic, it is possible to overdo it with ginger.

This Tuna Burger is as good as any restaurant. I love tuna out but it never seems to be as good when I cook it. At the price of $15-$20 dollars a pound I had given up even trying. But this recipe looked so good on TV that I sprung for one more pound and tried it. They are outstanding.

What taste!

We have been cooking right along with Rachel during her broadcast and at times my son and I are like a comedy routine trying to keep up! It has been a blast and rewarding. I have never written a review but had to comment on the tuna burgers..they were outstanding. The mango chutney was great with the wasabi. Wonderful flavors.
